Even prior to the pandemic - and particularly during these times, we follow CDC guidelines including sanitation of all equipment and high touch surfaces between patients. As a Retina Specialist and board-certified Ophthalmologist, I provide medical, laser, and surgical treatments for problems of the retina and vitreous. I grew up in Southern California but had the opportunity to train and work nationally. I am honored and excited for the opportunity to provide retina eye care in Southern California.
A: Ophthalmologists and Retina Specialists are medical school trained doctors (physicians) that specialize in eye problems and diseases. We are able to prescribe medications, use lasers, or perform surgeries as indicated for each eye problem. A Retina Specialist is an ophthalmologist who has completed additional educational training to subspecialize in diseases of the retina and vitreous.
