I've been going to Davich Optical for almost 7 years, and my reasons are twofold:
First, their glasses are priced flat rate and include anti-reflection and anti-water coatings AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.
NONE.
Did I mention that they regularly knock $40 off the cost of your glasses if you do an eye exam same day?
The frame selection they have is MINT, their Korean brands often look just as good as Luxxotica sub brands while being FAR more durable and hundreds of dollars cheaper.
I cannot overstate just how much I love that they don't nickel and dime you on ANYTHING.

Such a good place with outstanding staff. You can come here and get some of the best glasses. I’ve been here 2 times and when you bring your member ship card (you get it from you first purchase)the next time you will get a discount based on your points. Definitely worth it! Plus they’re super quick all the time and have an amazing lounge area. Definitely recommend to everyone, also kids!

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! These guys really care and go the extra mile for there customers. Dr. Chen is very good. He listened to what I said. AND he also improved on all my eye care needs. I wear contacts and glasses. He made the experience great again.
His staff is all top notch stars as well. Pj and Noel recently helped with my glasses. Gave me help that no other eye care places have ever given. I can see better than ever!!!!

Highly recommend Dr. Kim and his teammates with your eye exam and eye wear needs. I bought my glasses here 3-4months ago really helpful associates they were willing to assist and answer all my concerns. I recently broke my glasses (nose support) I came here for an assist to fix but they offered free exchange of my frame. Fully satisfied that I’m getting optical services here.

Everyone here is nice. However, I did not have a good experience. I've been wearing contact lenses for 30 years. I bought a groupon and he claims I'm suddenly astigmatic when I've never been and tells me it's extra $$ for it, which I stupidly paid. It took a year of going back and forth for prescription. Finally found one that seemed right, but now that I ordered them and wearing them, they are horrible and I can barely see. When I called back about it, he told me I could come back and pay for another exam!

Came in for contact exam. Absolutely great treatment. Friendly office with some effort made to keep social distancing. Dr. Chen was great and did his work professionaly without a bunch of upsell. Weeks later my contact lens was not fitting correctly and Dr. Chen welcomed me back for a refitting. Very cool shop, would definitely come back.

It was my first time there and I had a great experience. Dr. Chen is very professional and so friendly. Very knowledgeable and you can see he is passionate about helping people. I was in and out in a timely manner. The cat that was there was so chill and cute. I loved the fact that they don't pressure you into purchasing anything. The customer service was excellent. Suergio was super helpful and had my glasses ready in an hour as promised. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Came for a routine eye/contact exam for my updated prescription and Dr. Chen was great. I found him on groupon and the price was the best with no hidden fees. It's $80 for contact exam on groupon and in office is same price; other offices had $50-70 eye exam but wanted $80+ for contact exam on top which is crazy because most of us already have a contacts brand we know we like.
There was a wide open space to maintain social distancing and the wait was not bad for walk in. I have been steadily going up in Rx strength for years now, last year was prescribed -4.75 for both eyes. Dr. Chen realized

Went for a contact lens exam and had a great experience. In and out in about 30 min tops! I originally called for an appointment only to find out that you can just walk in at any time without one. The staff was super friendly and cheerful. There were two people before me so they motioned me over to the coffee/tea lounge area. Once it was my turn, Dr. Chen gave me his undivided attention to nail down the right prescription and the lens fit for me. He's hilarious too, loved his dry humor.

Amazing customer service. Dr Chen, Dr Kim, Lee and Karen helped me. I did a contact lens and glasses exam. Dr Chen offered me many options. He and his staff are extremely friendly and we also had a great time talking about Dr Chen's passion for barbershop music. The store is modern, clean and nicely decorated. There's a cozy waiting area, an espresso machine and a variety of tea and beverages to choose from.

After going to Costco and scheduling another optometry exam and realizing it was going to cost an exorbitant amount I decided to visit Davich Optometry on Vermont.
He gladly honored my Groupon and recommended a better, crisper prescription for me.
Decent amount of parking for Los Angeles. Glad to have found a local optometrist with an extensive and beautiful array of frames and sunglasses. Also, Oliver, his fluffy white rag

Dr. Chen is the man! I purchased the groupon for a 79 dollar contact lens exam. Walked right in and was seen quickly with no appointment. Service is fast and more importantly, friendly. Dr. Chen took a genuine interest in my life and well being in addition to making sure my vision was well taken care of. I've found not only a new eye doctor, but also a genuinely friendly soul in Dr. Chen! Everyone working in the business was welcoming, friendly, and genuine. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Dr.Chen for a few years. Dr. Chen is very good at what he does!
The eye exam for both glasses and contact lenses is very detailed and accurate.
Dr. Chen doesn't let you leave without making sure you are definitely comfortable with the updated prescription.
Added bonus:
Glasses are ready within the hour or so unless you get the anti-blue coated lenses, which will take a few days.
Some days/weekends may be busy so call ahead and plan accordingly to your schedule.

I found out about Dr. Chen's optometry facility through Groupon. I called to make an appointment and he said it was walk-in. That's very convenient. When I arrived, I was greeted by the very personable staff, and everything was very quick. I was in and out within 30 minutes. Dr. Chen is very friendly. I loved that the contacts I needed were right there at the facility for me to purchase, instead of me having to order them and come back a few days later. I appreciate their great customer service and I highly recommend this facility for all of your optometry needs.

So, I read the reviews and some weren't so nice. Dr. Chen is like most of us, working to make a living, while taking care of his responsibilities. I used my Groupon, so when I get such a great deal, I expect to give a little grace understanding that most businesses on groupon are trying to grow. My eye insurance isn't the greatest so this deal was perfect for me.

I bought my contact lens eye exam at Groupon and contacted him immediately thru text to set an appointment. I knew he may not respond immediately due to being busy but he responded within 48 hrs. He came in on time on May 31, 11:45am and assisted me. The eye exam was pretty thorough and quick, got my new contact lens. They're super comfy that it's life-changing. Lol

This is a review for Dr. Chen, who sometimes rents space at Vision One Optometry.
My appointment was made and then confirmed three times via text messages, directly with the doctor. On the day of the appointment, the doctor rescheduled (via text messages) over four times and then kept me waiting for over an hour because of his long commute from another office and it was drizzling that day. I know this is Los Angeles and nobody knows how to drive in the rain, but I'm a working professional too and I deserve to have my schedule respected as well, especially when I rearranged my day for my appointment
