We acknowledge that we are on the unceded ancestral lands of the Duwamish people. The first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present and honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish tribe. Established by the Wallingford United Methodist Church in 1968 as a way to give back to the Wallingford community, we have a supportive relationship with the church, while maintaining a non-religious curriculum open to the neighborhood and greater Seattle area.

Wallingford Child Care is committed to helping each child build a positive self image through their intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development and thus promote success and enjoyment of school, home and living in general.
Services
Our curriculum encompasses a child-centered approach that emerges from the ideas and needs of the children in the program. Each of our classrooms applies the center-wide curriculum in ways that are developmentally appropriate for their age group. Our curriculum also has a strong focus on nature, art, music, and natural environments.
Our center is influenced by Magda Gerber's Educaring Approach and the Reggio Emilia philosophy. We have 8 staff members who have completed the RIE foundations course. Our infant and toddler programs offer cloth diapering through Baby Diaper Service. Children at WCCC are viewed as capable individuals with valued thoughts, personalities, wants and needs.
What is your weather cancellation policy? Whenever Seattle Public Schools are closed due to severe weather conditions, our center will also close. If Seattle Public Schools are on a delayed schedule, the center will open at our regular time. Should severe weather conditions occur on a day when Seattle Public Schools are not in session, the Director will decide on closure and will post on our website and create a voice mail message.

This childcare has an irresponsible management to parents; therefore, I reckon it is not a reliable place for you to send your kids in.
Firstly they director assistant Aurora received a check of $75 as wait-list fee. after that, I emailed her to ask for there confirmation if the money goes through but there was not an reply. As told by Aurora, incoming emails were also directed to Jenny the Director but none of them cared about replying my concern. Few month after that, again I emailed them to ask for an update of the wait list but there is still no answer.
Secondly, wait-list fee is accepted
