Quality building, quiet, and easy to run a home business out of. Excellent experience with maintenance - appreciate the diligence and responsiveness of various team members, including Caleb who makes apartment living more convenient than dealing with the troubles of homeownership!

Perfect for weed lovers! I don't even do the weed and it's like I'm taking a Jamaican shower every day. Now everyone thinks I'm cool for smelling like weed without needing to have it. Great views and general nice apartment. Cut some corners (i.e. stuff like missing bathroom fans and stuff breaking all the time), but would be easy to look over if the tenants weren't so inconsiderate but such is apartment life. People will be people.

Windows are very dirty and owners will not pay to have it cleaned - ironic that they boast views. (look at virtual tour videos to see what I mean).
Nice building but poorly maintained with cheap fixtures, and structural issues. Frequent maintenance issues, like leakages, that management takes forever (if ever) to resolve. Concerned these issues will end up like Florida condos.
Parking is Expensive but Very inconvenient and scarce.
This is Not a luxury building by a landslide, but you will end up paying luxury prices.

We moved into the Lumen in May after relocating back to Cleveland from Columbus. As someone that has worked in retail and is in a client-facing industry, I know how hard it can be to seamlessly work through growing pains. We’ve had issues here and there with maintenance, elevators, packages getting misplaced, noise from the 5th floor, and with the property management company. While communication got poor at times, you could tell that Playhouse Square and interim management were doing what they could to build things back up and make it right. BEWARE, If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Do not lease here, Don’t get trapped.
-This place wants to build its reputation up as a Luxury Apartment Complex.. but after staying here I can say it’s far from Luxury.
-The apartment cut corners during the building stages and it’s showing after moving in. They cheaped out and say it’s energy efficient to have some sort of reasoning for the issues. Their pipes bursted during summer causing lots of headaches and missed amenities like gym etc.
-Some basic items that were major: the bathroom and shower water would always run cold. When

Unfortunately, Lumen is not all it’s cracked up to be. Yes, fine finishes and details. Beautiful views. Decent amenities. But things here are in a state of utter chaos. Ever since the good staff got ran off, playhouse square has done nothing but constantly fumble the ball and get sacked kinda like the Browns of old. Renters beware!!! Once the covers are pulled down you will quickly find a building that was poorly built, corners were cut to save a few bucks, has leaks all the time, elevators that don’t consistently work, and an owner that doesn’t have a clue. Again, renters beware!

Living at the Lumen was an amazing experience. The buildings amenities are top notch and the apartments are just as wonderful. Jake and the rest of the staff do an incredible job of accommodating the residents, answering every question, and making the moving process seamless. They are an excellent staff. I enjoyed every minute spent here!

What an awkward, unprofessional, and disappointing experience.
My other half is looking for a change and has been touring different apartments in the city. I live on Euclid in a new building and my other half has come to enjoy and appreciate the downtown life. We scheduled a tour with a guy in the leasing office. The woman at the desk took our ID’s, told us to sit in these two chairs by his office so that he would know we are there when he got off the phone. I have been a resident since last Fall. I have always been very happy with my choice to stay at the Lumen with the great views and beautiful amenity spaces. That is, until recently. Playhouse Square as the owner has no business being an apartment owner because they do not have a clue. They are always here. Touring big whigs around all the time. Using up our amenity spaces whenever they want to. They made poor decisions in construction to save a few bucks that has led to water leaks and other problems. And the worst is, they don’t seem to leave management alone to be able to do their jobs. There

EDIT: I had given this place 4 stars as I was moving out of my apartment. It has been two months since I left that building and they owe me my entire security deposit. Every time I email or call, I do not receive a response. Do not lease here. Super unprofessional staff. Their head leasing manager was fired and no one informed me as I was also sending him emails with no response.
