Dr. Walker graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry after earning a Bachelor's in Spanish from Brigham Young University. Following that, he did an internship in New York City for people with visual impairments, as well as a rotation at the VA hospital in optometry services. He started practicing in Molalla in 1994; in 2014, he joined the team in Milwaukie as well.
New patients keep our business growing, so we are always proud to offer high quality optometry services to our patients. We understand that your first visit to the eye doctor can feel overwhelming and we try to accommodate all new patients with a comfortable and organized facility. Our goal is to cover everything you need with a full and efficient assessment, but without waiting to see the doctor.
Usually; medical insurance does typically cover medical eye services, as long as you have a related medical complaint - such as pink eye, allergies or diabetes. Usually a specialist copay will apply for approved medical testing, with a refraction copay if glasses are prescribed during the same visit.

Worst experience with an optometrist office. They made a mistake with our appointment and I called to get some clarity. I was transferred to a women who instead of offering any problem solving, an alternative or even a simple apology for the confusion, first blamed me, then my teenage daughter, then my husband for the mistake. The women was from the start defensive, rude, and kept interrupting me when I was asking a question until she was yelling over the top of me. I have never experienced this kind of behavior in a professional setting (or otherwise) ever, and was shocked. All I wanted was an

The staff were very kind, knowledgeable, efficient and all around a pleasure to work with! My kiddo visited for his first eye exam ever and was beyond nervous. The Dr. was very patient with him and altered the approach to the exam to help relieve some of his nervousness. I highly recommend them for your family's eye care needs.

Sometimes when you go to the eye doctor its hard to know if I am answering the questions right with the this or this at rapid speed. This is not the case with Dr. Walker, he allowed enough time to let my eyes settle and really see the difference. He was able to answer all of my questions and when I left I felt like I could see everything better! Five stars for Milwaukie Family Eyecare!

I had a foreign object in my eye, so I turned to them for help. They accepted me within 20 min without any prior affiliation with their office. The care was proffesional and quick. The bill was more than within reason, given that they didn't bill me for emergency care. I was overall very pleased with my experience at Eye Clinic of Milwaukie.
