I have been living at Yorktown Estates for three years and have had such a fantastic experience. The amenities are wonderful (including a fitness room, billiards room, pool, etc.), and did I mention they have a service that picks up and drops off your dry cleaning? Many residents also enjoy the free breakfast five days a week. The staff members are genial and helpful. Maintenance is always fast and attentive in handling any issues I have had in my apartment. The grounds are kept up so nicely. When it snows, I can expect someone to clear off paths pretty efficiently. Bus access is great, too. The

I was surprised to see so many negative reviews about Yorktown until I realized they are pretty much all more than 2 years old. In the past two years, Yorktown and Resident Services Inc have gone through management changes and really overhauled their staff.

We've lived at Yorktown for over a year and we can't imagine living anywhere else in Madison. The grounds are beautiful, the apartments are comfortable and very well-maintained. Any maintenance requests have been solved within 24 hours and we've always felt safe and taken care of. The front office staff are friendly and welcoming -- they making living here even more fun -- not to mention the amenities included with rent: weekly breakfast, tanning bed, rec room, hot tub, salt water pool, in-unit laundry -- the list goes on! Where to start. We've lived here for 3 years and love everything. The maintenance staff is responsive and helpful, same with the regular staff - and friendly! Free breakfast is a solid start to the morning. Pool, underground parking, hot tub, respectable workout facilities, office w/ printer, and even dry cleaning, hair cut, and massage services (for $). The staff throw parties every few months (like beer tasting!). All this not even mentioning the unit with the great location with access to the 14 and 67 bus routes for easy downtown access. The rent may be a little more than some other places

You have to walk on eggshells there. Neighbors constantly complaining about normal noises. "Dog barking" "tv playing" "music playing" and god for bid you have a few friends over until 9pm on a weekend. You'll be getting a phone call from management the next day. This place is petty and unfair. They focus only on the elders needs and no one else.

I have lived here for over 4 years now and find the management to be exemplary in every way! Their staff is always professional and attentive to whatever I request, maintenance staff is amazing and I feel very safe living here. They keep upgrading the property and maintain the grounds really well. The salt water pool is wonderful!

We moved into Yorktown Estate Apartments in April of 2017 and thoroughly enjoy all the amenities and overall quality of our unit. Here is our top 10 list of what we believe is the best of Yorktown Estate Apartments... 1) Very helpful and knowledgeable staff; 2) Our unit was spotless and freshly painted when we moved in; 3) The grounds are clean and well-maintained; 4) The stainless steel kitchen appliances are in excellent condition and work well; 5) The underground parking is convenient and also accommodates our bicycles well; 6) The salt water pool is awesome and the annual pool party/pig roast

I lived there for 1 year , did not have major issues during my stay , however the place is overpriced for what it has to offer . management throw parties here and there trying to act nice but they are really nothing but punch of crooks and thieves . At my check out they cut 250 dollars from my security deposit , 150 dollars went to alleged scratch in kitchen floor that I am dead sure was not there but this was not really the issue , it is what came next on the checkout charge that really pissed me off , showed me that these crooks have no respect to their residents and all about stealing money

I would have liked to at least given another star because the actual apartments themselves are quite nice and the property it sits on is great. My problem stems from something that was a very jarring experience and borderline unethical.
My wife and I had lived there for a year and moved to a different location by the square. After we had the place professionally cleaned and moved out, we had the customary check-out with one of the Yorktown staff. I attended the walkthrough of the apartment

The apartments are really nice inside. Definitely luxury.
The staff totally SUCKS. They are not responsive, they are stuck up, they are not helpful and they make you feel like you're the unpopular kid in a clique of aging high school preppies. Like, OMG, don't live here. Its not worth it.
