We have lived at Longfellow Lofts for 2 years, and we have been extremely happy with our time here. The apartments are s. The apartments are stunningly designed with high quality counters and appliances. There were no serious maintenance issues to worry about. The apartment stayed warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Twas many nights after Christmas,
and quiet was all abound,
in a race to get the tree to my truck,
situational awareness not to be found!
Upon my return to the apartment,
my face as aghast!
A hanzel and gretel of pine needles everywhere
showed the movements of my past. :(
With an agony of guilt and dispair,
a void which a broom and vacuum cleaner could only fill.
I sobbingly turned to the apartment's manager Mark,
and whimpered an act of contrition and asked for the bill!
With empathy and understanding, Mark said
these things can happen a lot.
Thanks for letting us know, and our amazing

Adding another 5 star review to say just how great living at Longfellow Lofts has been this past year. The reason I chose Longfellow -- and the reason I stay -- are in the little things management does to go above and beyond: Ziggy, our maintenance guy, was quick to call within the hour of my putting in a request; Dana passed out trick or treat bags to every resident on Halloween; Mackenzie knocked on my door to tell me my DoorDash had arrived; Mark organized live music and game nights to build community safely during covid. It's these little things that have made my time at Longfellow absolutely

Great place to live! Tammy, the property manager, did a great job and was always super attentive. We lived in the historical building for three years and only moved out because we purchased a house. It is within walking distance to campus, zoo, and great restaurants (including Bloom on Monroe St.).

Longfellow lofts is hands down the best facility I have ever lived in. Tammy Dian is the BEST property manager I have ever had. She was accommodating, attentive, always always provides us with treats and fun events (it's the little details that count), and will always respond to questions night or day. I loved living here and am jealous of anyone else that gets to stick around.

I loved living here! By far the best apartment I have had! Tammy and Ziggy were over the top amazing! Tammy was always so sweet and had everything we ever needed and quick to respond. She is the best property manager. Ziggy was always a joy to come over and fix anything we needed, he was always kind and diligent. Would 100% recommend living here not just because it is an awesome apartment, but because of the management.

Tammy is amazing. Her hospitality transformed our spacious apartment into a place where we called home. The theater is a great space for relaxing with friends, and we utilized it every chance we got. So sad to leave - I know where I will be looking for housing if I get to live in Madison again!

Tammy was great to work with and went above and beyond to get us all the information we needed about the building, units, amenities that best suited our needs. The building is well kept, quiet, and is very aesthetically pleasing. Longfellow lofts is a great location for anyone looking for a downtown apartment and I can’t recommend it enough!

Living at Longfellow Lofts was an incredible experience! We lived in the historic building which was wonderful, since it held so many historic components while also having updated appliances. The auditorium was a great addition, especially the wrapping station during the holidays. Tammy, Ziggy, and the rest of the staff were truly the best management team that I’ve had. They were attentive and punctual with any requests or concerns. I couldn’t possibly recommend Longfellow Lofts more if you’re looking for a great experience in a beautiful neighborhood!

Longfellow Lofts was the perfect place to live, near walking/bike paths, fun restaurants, close to downtown, in a homey neighborhood. We loved our unit which was clean, up to date and spacious! Tammy was extremely helpful every step of the way. Never had any issues or complaints about this place at all. It was my favorite apartment complex I have lived in and cannot recommend this place enough!

Longfellow Lofts is a fantastic place to live! The location is great - easy access to the square without the noise of living a bit closer, walking distance to Regent Street, Monroe Street, Camp Randall, the Vilas Zoo, and the Arboretum. The east side of downtown, Verona, and Middleton enjoyable trips by bike since there are a number of bike paths which are only a few blocks from the building. The buildings are well kept and quiet. Personally I think the highlight of Longfellow is the community aspect. There are movies that play weekly in the theatre, a holiday party, and usually a fall resident

I would also strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your apartment. I moved out in summer 2016 and have heard this place has new management. Perhaps that will help, but I can't imagine it will solve all the problems at this place.

I lived on the first floor of the historic building. I could hear every word my upstairs neighbor said. I could hear her pee. And when she had parties, which was 2-3 times per week, I couldn't hear anything else. We spent a couple of nights in the movie theater as our TV couldn't drown out the parties. Management would not intercede.

We've been in the modern building for over 5 months now. The building and property is beautiful, well maintained, and comfortable. Very pet friendly, and surprisingly more quiet than you might think! There is a pet waste disposal area and bags available in the courtyard, with areas for dogs to do their duty. Fire pit and grill are available for residents use, as well as the auditorium in the historical building. Apartment is very airy with high ceilings and tall windows. It's great having our own washer and dryer in our apartment. We chose the garage parking and are happy we did. It&apos

This place is outstanding! My apartment is huge (859 sq ft) with amazing finishes unlike any of the other new places around. I don't have one negative thing to write, love my home. Not sure if the other reviewers like their heat at 90, but my MGE bill averages $63/mo.

I was sold the minute I saw the auditorium and I was only more invested as we walked through the incredibly wide hallways and beautiful apartments that are tastefully modern, yet accurately historic with their touches from the longfellow school. As a teacher and history buff, yet also as someone who dreams of contemporary styles and big windows, this building is perfect for me.

I honestly don't understand the last two reviews.... management gets better every day, electricity bills are not EVEN CLOSE to that expensive (especially considering the magnificently high ceilings, it's less

I would not recommend renting here. My apartment is beautiful, but there are many problems. The building manager, Deb, is wonderful and very kind. I do like the size of the apartment, but it definitely isn't worth the expense. The building is half empty, and for good reason.

First, the electric bills are astronomical. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and my bills are always at least $200. This is absolutely ridiculous. My boyfriend lives in another very similar building less than a mile away in an apartment bigger than mine, and his bills are only $60. Management first told us that we would be

I would not recommend renting an apartment here. The construction quality is very poor - it appears as if every corner was cut to save on construction costs. The apartments are very expensive and on top of that very energy INEFFICIENT. Expect electricity bills of over $200 a month if you use the heater at all in a small 1 bedroom apartment - don't take my word though, go to MGE website and check. Management is unresponsive and is unable (or unwilling) to fix structural issues with the building. The building is still half vacant (with good reason) and pretty much every resident I have spoken
