I am a recruiter for Durham School Services and we held our hiring event there for a week & I have to say what a beautiful location Mat-Su Resort is! Carrieann (events manager) and her staff were exceptional! They were very attentive & had everything we needed plus more! The hotel rooms were immaculate, the facility had everything we need to make our event a success, & the food was amazing! I have worked with quite a few events managers over the 27 yrs as a recruiter and I have to say she is the best! What a perfect setting for any special gathering! I highly recommend it!

We stayed here as part of an organized tour in late July, so we didn't have a choice of accomodations.
I was really happy with this choice!
The room was spacious and even had a little kitchenette area.
Oh and there was a little balcony too with 2 chairs that you could sit and enjoy the view of the little lake.
The bed was comfy.
The blinds didn't keep out ALL the light but did a pretty good job. I had a sleep mask.
The WiFi worked well, no problems.
The staff was friendly.
Note, there's no elevator so if you are on the 2nd floor you need to haul your luggage up the stairs.

The wife and I made reservations for our wedding anniversary to dine at Everetts in the Mat-Su Resort and we're terribly disappointed. We and another couple arrive and observed an large outdoor party going on at the resort. So we were glad we had made reservations. It turned out that it took 30 min to even get water to our table, which we got after chasing down a busboy. Then we attempted to order wine and drinks before dinner and couldn't get a waitress. Then we went to hostess and she finally got a waitress to the table who said it would be a long time before dinner would be served

Our son got married at the resort last weekend. It was absolutely wonderful. Tammy, the event coordinator, did an outstanding job and went above and beyond to ensure the wedding was everything we hoped for. The food was amazing and the staff were terrific. We were their first wedding since reopening and I'm so glad we chose their venue

I would LOVE to go to this establishment for drinks and dinner on the deck overlooking the lake....IF they are under new management????? WOW. Terrible. I met my husband and some friends there recently for dinner and drinks and it was BEAUTIFUL out. Perfect location for a relaxing evening overlooking the lake. The service? WHAT SERVICE????? I ordered a drink when I got there and it took them 20 minutes to tell me that they didn't have it. So i ordered a beer. The food came before the beer. I asked for catchup for the fries (they never brought it) the burger wasn't that great. When I finally

I read the review from 2008, so I can say that this place has changed for the better. Last year it had new owners, and this year new owners again. The good news is these new owners are actually committed to making the resort work. It's an older place on the lake, but well kept. I go on the weekends for the vintage snow machine races. They have great burgers, but the bacon burger is awesome. Nice appetizers, pretty good for a bar. The biggest surprise is the waitresses. They get the job done. Try being the only waitress when over 100 people come in from the races.
