I am not a resident at Cabana Beach, however I visit frequently, and a resident who lives here can audibly be heard beating his dog. We have audio recordings of the dog yelping in pain, however both Cabana Beach and San Marcos PD have been dismissive of the situation. The office staff seemed bored when confronted and were not interested in hearing about the situation over the phone. Another review was posted 3 months ago about the same thing. Very disappointed in their response, no empathy or compassion.

I was recently informed of a situation involving animal abuse by one of the residents. The staff has been extremely negligent and has made no attempts to stop or even confront the person that has been reported for beating their dog. This behavior is disgusting to begin with, and the negligence of staff at the Cabana Beach Apartments is absolutely unacceptable.

Staff is not only unhelpful, but also dishonest. If you specify that you want a no pet unit they will not honor the agreement, and will place individuals with pets in your apartment. They recently lost the entirety of their staff, only to be replaced by eager yet incompetent individuals. My apartment came dirty, with holes in the wall covered by a thin layer of paint and sloppily filled. The tan carpet had large, dark stains. Be sure to note every issue, and I mean every issue on your move in list, should you choose to move in here. Otherwise, they will attempt to make their poor painting job your

I am a current resident here going on 2 years. Absolutely overpriced utilities. I live without having AC on most of the time and having everything unplugged and still have bills that come out to $70. Not only is management never in the office, but they also never take any complaints seriously. There was a resident living in the building across from me who was abusing their pet. Despite multiple complaints from numerous residents, management did nothing at all. Cops and animal control ended up needing to be called because management couldn't manage the problem themselves. Cops are constantly called

They are charging me move-out fee's like crazy when I am sure I cleaned my WHOLE apartment before I moved out because of the pandemic. It's ridiculous how I wasn't even living there and I'm still getting charged cleaning fees. How could that be possible if I wasn't there for months?! How do they disntigusish between your mess and your roommates. I think they should be more considerable during this pandemic, which they were because they had payment plan options. But just throwing out large amounts of cleaning fees is outrageous. Even for a small stain it's $400! As

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. First of all it's the middle of August and our AC was broken on move in day.. like what? It was hot as heck and apparently one girl was still living there from the previous semester and through summer because her stuff was everywhere and it was disgustingly messy (I quickly learned why she got new roommates every semester). I moved in at the beginning of my fall semester of sophomore year and stayed until Christmas break and then I never went back (yes I still paid rent and utilities every month and didn't live there because it was that AWFUL
