10/10 recommend this place as your home if you're a lowkey, low maintenance type of person. The leasing and maintenance staff are the most hospitable people we've met in San Marcos and we've loved every second of our time here at Clarewood. If we weren't relocating for work, we'd continue our flawless stay at this cozy, hidden gem we call our home. Working in the apartment industry, we know a hidden gem when we see one. Thank you to the Clarewood staff (especially Diana) and family (love our friendly neighbors and dog friends) for making this such a memorable experience

Management (I’m guessing Peter and Diana) did a great job at keeping my family posted on the events happening during the freak snow storm, power outages, water pipes, local stores open/closed, neighbors donating food, the list keeps going. :)

I currently am trying to sublease at this apartment complex and Diana Rodriguez (leasing staff) is the most incompetent leasing person I have ever tried to work with. When I first walked in to speak with her she asked for my social security number in front of other people (very unprofessional). She then proceeded to say the conversation was over by giving us a small wave saying we could leave now (very rude). I have had to jump through so many hoops and am still not living there yet. I would 0/10 recommend to sublease from this place because of the incompetency that goes on in the leasing center

They act friendly, but they don't care. I lived there for three years. When our lease ended, they illegally charged us for carpet and counter tops. By law, they can't charge for normal wear and tear. Also, we were told when we moved in that our counter tops, which were already worn, wouldn't be charged against us. It was, though. Management switched and they said they didn't have proof that the previous manager said that. They said our carpets were damaged, but they weren't at all. When they provided pictures, which I had to repeatedly ask for, none of the pictures showed any abnormal damage. The

The staff is very kind and friendly. They keep the community updated on things happening in the complex. It's quite old, so the interior shows, and the water isn't a consistent temperature. Its always hot or cold or warm and cold even after they have the water serviced. They are making changes I can tell, so time will tell how much better it gets. Very comfy and cozy apartment to live in though. Nice views, and small enough the maintenance guys can get to you soon enough.

Just moved in from west Texas in may 2018. So far they are amazing. When things needs to be fix they fix it right away. Parkings are little small for truck drivers but its manageable. Pools are always clean. Property is always nice and clean. Location is perfect. Heb is less then 3 min drive. Walmart is around the corner. Restaurants are in walking distance as well as cvs and liquor stores.

Super friendly staff! The grounds were really well taken care of as was the pool area. There were several residents hanging out and all seemed really friendly with the staff. There is a volleyball net in (and out of) the pool as well as several grills located around the pool area. It's also within walking distance to a few shopping plazas.

My boyfriend & I just moved in a few days ago & so far so good. Management is super nice, maintenance guy is really nice & helpful as well. My dog loves it so far, there's always plenty of parking space, the pool is super nice looking & tonight is our very first movie night here, so I'm excited about that. We have Walmart 2 minutes away, I-35 is less than a minute away, and a bunch of other convenient stores & restaurants. Basically the apartments are really nice looking & so far no problems!👍🏼

I originally wrote this after moving in, and at the time there were no complaints, oh how times have changed. Things, as stated, were fine at first, the original management at the time was great; willing to work with you and always able to assist in any way. The maintenance (which is still good mind you) was fantastic and though there were the occasional issues they were always straight forward and up front about what was going on. I wish I could say that it stayed that way, but sadly that is not the case.
The issue is that since around October of 2016 Clarewood has come under new management
