Comfortable bed, easy parking, clean, super location, great deck on second floor. Continental breakfast at 8:30? Too late for breakfast, too early for lunch. Door to room had rust on it. Lock to room was consumer grade, definitely not up to par. Bathroom could use an overhaul. Wait, whole room could use an uplift. Good bones, almost there!

The customer service was excellent. It was in the heart of Manteo and everything we needed was in walking distance. The second floor porch overlooking the water was so nice at night with the fall breeze. While sitting out there, we were visited by the town cat Lulu who was super sweet! The rooms themselves were overall nicely decorated but the carpet and cooling system are a bit dated. I would visit again.

First time staying at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo, NC. Very nice place. Employees were super sweet and willing to help whenever needed. Waterfront location with plenty of deck seating to enjoy the view. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. And it was even better that they have their own parking lot. We cannot wait to stay there again.

Overall the Inn is a nice place. Quiet, clean and peaceful. Front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and spacious. The shower was a bit odd though. The ceiling was angled so it felt claustrophobic in the shower. Don’t recommend this for someone taller than 5’11”. Maybe the other room showers are full size so check befor booking.

Location is great. Right in the middle of Manteo so everything is walking distance. Lots of little shops and very good restaurants in the area. Marina in the back is a nice place to walk. Getting to the OBX proper to spend the day at the beach is a short easy drive.
The room itself was nice but very much in need of a refresh. New carpet, fresh coat of paint and a new mattress would go a very long way. Bathroom looks like it was remodeled 10 years ago and has had multiple patch jobs done. Not much head room in the shower so if you're taller than 5'7" you'll likely have to crouch down in there.

We would definitely stay here again. I would like to mention that we had noisy neighbors above us on the third floor. With this being an older inn, you can hear people walking above you. Also, there were small ants in the room. Would be very nice to have a small refrigerator in the room as well. The staff was nice, the bed was comfortable and the location was fantastic.

Our son’s wedding party reserved most of the hotel for the weekend. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The hotel itself is so charming and the views are beautiful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We are locals but would still consider coming down and staying as a getaway at this lovely location! Thank you to everyone at the Tranquil House for making her special weekend perfect!

The rooms are beautiful and peaceful. The staff is friendly and always happy to assist you. I wasn’t on the road more than 39 minutes when I received a call from the front desk letting me know I left my makeup mirror behind and that they would be mailing it to my home! Talk about exceptional service : )The location is perfect. It’s a quick drive to Jeanette’s Pier if you want to spend the day at the ocean. In the evening, there are plenty of amazing restaurants and quaint shops all within walking distance. The boardwalk in the back is a must to take a stroll in the evening. It’s long and
