I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but the eye doctor did not provide me the care that I needed for my Son. Dr. Chow saw my son, and as he entered the room I could tell from that moment that it wasn't a welcoming environment as it was pleasant when we arrived and checked in. The doctor was running late and rushed the exam. He wasn’t professional about the explanation of my son’s prescription when I asked multiple questions. He seemed stressed from the moment we saw him, and it made my son as well as myself as a parent uneasy. It was my first time going to a private eye doctor, and the

I've written about Branham Family Eye Care in the past as I've always been very well cared for by the doctors and the eye glass/contact staff.
Today I want to say special thanks to Evie. A few weeks ago I brought in a pair of my glasses and talked to Evie. I told her that I had them stored in the console of my truck and after spending some days in the hot 100+ temp I put them on and everything was foggy. Once they cooled off they were almost back to normal but I could see a halo effect if I looked a a light in an otherwise dark room. She confirmed that I had another pair or would be fine with

Great procedures for keeping people safe. It was nice seeing them sanitize everything we used beforehand. My only criticism is that certain parts of the eye exam may have been skewed since my breath from my mask was fogging up the equipment causing half the screen for the peripheral vision test to be blurry and for the prescription test (better with 1 or 3) having certain lenses blurry so maybe I wasn’t choosing the one that was actually clearest but the one less foggy. I totally understand face masks/shields are absolutely necessary during these times, I just think we need to come up with some

Their people are all very friendly and helpful, and the eye exam was very thorough. After I selected and ordered the glasses. Unfortunately, that is when the trouble began. I went at the beginning of the summer and it is September and I still don't have glasses. They are transitional trifocals that came back with the wrong ratios of each range the first time (my old glasses were perfect, so they should have just copied the ratios), we did a redo, and this time the lab did not do what we ordered, so I asked since it was the second redo, that they put a rush on it, and I am still waiting and it has

I've been going to this office for at least 10 years. For the most part I've been satisfied w my eye care and Dr. Chow. However I missed my last appointment. I called the next day to apologize and reschedule. The reseptionist said that she would now have to email Dr. Chow to see if he would still see me and that if not I would now have to go to the next Dr. down and that she would get back to me soon. That was the end of September and it is now November. I STILL haven't heard anything back. Her tone was rude as well. So this is how Branham Eye Care treats it's long term customers

The Front Office Staff & Dr. Wong couldn’t be nicer or more professional as I was a walk-in from out of town. I was in the area & decided to donate @ a local blood drive, however due to a swollen eye was told I couldn’t give. I had this condition a few weeks ago in the same eye & it cleared up or so I thought. I Googled “Eye care Professionals near me“ & Branham Family Eye Care came up. They had very good reviews & was open so I drove right over. After the Front Office heard my story & having no appointment, they said Dr. Wong could see me. I only waited 15 minutes before she took me to

I walked in on a Saturday afternoon about 5 minutes to closing and was told they wouldn't help me because there was only one optician available. Ok, I understood but the overall attitude of the heavy lady with the bizarrely dilated eyes was one suggesting my business was not wanted there at all. They were about to make me an appointment for another day and the young lady with the long black hair sitting at the desk rolled her eyes when I stated my name which yes, is long, ethnic, and hyphenated, welcome to the 21st century. The overall attitude was "please leave we're about to

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Not too fond of the new doctor to the team. While examining my eyes, she had her fingers pretty close to the eyeball without gloves. She also put some painful drops in my eyes without explaining what she was doing or giving me a heads up. When doctors don't explain to patients the reason behind what they are doing, it can feel like they are just poking and prodding at us.

I had an eye appointment at 2:00 on Friday, Jan 4th. I showed up on time as I always do. They were closed for lunch. There was another man there waiting outside who also had a 2:00 appointment. He had been waiting there for 10 minutes outside. They hadn't opened yet from lunch. Five minutes later the office girl shows up in her car and unlocks the door. She lets us in and we both sign in at the desk. She hands him a info sheet to fill out and totally ignores me. I walked over to look at the glasses for a couple minutes and she still doesn't acknowledge my presence. I finally just walked

I've been going to another eye doctor in San Jose since the mid '80's when they first took over the office from my eye doctor. I really liked the two doctors as they've always done a good job of my exam's, answered my questions and even helped guide me thru the lasik process. The challenge with them was their office. They were nice enough but try as I might I could never get a pair of Rx sunglasses for less than $500-$600 which is a non starter.
I happened to accompany my youngest son to Branham Eye Care close to 3 years a go and I was talking to the glasses tech

This is absolutly A+ Optometrist and eye care business. Clean, really service oriented team and great selection of frames. Really thorough eye checkups, comfortable to visit and everytime I I go there, I leave with something good to say. They are also really good with repairs and fast. I fell asleep once with my glasses on and found my glasses mangled badly. Was worried the frames were "toasted"..dropped them off and within the hour, returned to me like new...and they didn't charge me anything!! (Not advertising that they have free services).

I have been going here for about 4 years. Two weeks ago my experience was marred by disorganization! They missed completing an eye exam and now want to charge me $200 more for my glasses after I already paid in full so I thought.
After I get my glasses I will not be returning. I'm disappointed by the lack of process and regard to my time

After 23 years of going to another local optometrist, I decided to move to another practice. I chose Branham Family Eye Care.
Before deciding to change optometrists I went into BFEC to get my glasses repaired. My former doctors office manager told me it would take 3 weeks to send them out for repair. BFEC did the repair while I waited and it only took 10 minutes and they even refitted them for me because they saw they needed adjustment. GREAT service and they didn't charge me for the repair !!
After that I decided to give them a try for my upcoming eye exam. I had Dr. Lee and she is terrific

I've been a patient at Dr.Chow's office for 14 years. I've seen the office change, staff come and go but this has always been a go-to spot for me. I enjoy the customer service, its close by and the staff is easy going. Unfortunately some of the key staff that were trusted experts for frames, eyewear adjustments and front desk have left. I went in today for my appointment and signed in as I usually do. I was not greeted by the staff and waited in the seats near the door until I decided (after 15 minutes) that I should mention I was here for my eye exam. The office looked understaffed

I have been coming here since 2004. Dr Lee is the best eye doctor, patient and takes the time to explain everything.
I like to wear my transition glasses while hiking but wasn't working too well on sunny days. I never knew I could get prescription SUNGLASSES! The gal who works behind the glass counter is so wonderful. She spends a lot of time making sure you find glasses that you like and that look good on you too. She highly recommended Maui Jims for my light eyes. I know they are expensive but my eyes are so sensitive to the sunlight (maybe it's an age thing??) I know it
