Management is useless. Make sure you don’t have a flood or issue with your appliances. They never answer their phone or emergency number, and the portal very rarely works. Horrible experience.
IN RESPONSE TO YOUR ANSWER BELOW: I’ve been calling literally all morning with a flooding issue that you have no responded to, why would you respond to my phone call about my review??

Made an appointment to have a in person tour. We traveled an hour and half and were excited to see this place. Received the confirmation email and went on our way. We arrived 10 minutes early. The office was closed even though it was business hours. We didn't think much of it, do to Covid, and were sure someone was going to meet us at the scheduled time. When no one showed up at the appointment time, I decided to call the office. I got no answer. Waited another 10 minutes, called again, got no answer. Waited a total of 30 minutes, called multiple times, and nobody ever arrived at the office. Thanks

Please think before you sign a lease here. Management does not hold themselves accountable for anything. From day one there were issues. I can't stress enough that Sandra Pena has the worst follow through and is hard to get a hold of. Not one of the staff members besides her, lasted the entire year we were there. Notices about late fees were not sent out. They overwork one maintenance staff. They worry more about the gardening than actual issues. Constant smell of cigarettes and weed on the property. Abandoned vehicles on property that are not towed. Abandoned vehicles on side streets. Parking

I don't think I can stress enough that you really don't want to live here. The management does not care at all, are not responsive and it takes forever for maintenance. I've also never had more disrespectful neighbors either. The community is not great. Folks would smoke right outside our apartment constantly so we couldn't have our windows open. Brought this up to management. Nothing. The quality of the apartments are terrible. We had slopes in the floor where the ground was settling and the floor was uneven, walls cracking due to water damage. We also had a locked bike stolen from our patio.

Seriously the worst place I have ever lived and I was sleeping in my car for 3 months! My “renovated” unit has none of the updated appliances or mill work, first week of living here my washer went out of balance and instead of looking for the issue just vacuumed 2 cups of water from carpet and my clothes are ruined, the storage closets doors constantly come off track, broken toilet, broken heater (winter time and 2 weeks to fix,) cabinet doors falling off, and on top of all that, maintenance comes in and gossips about other staff (including a morality rating) and makes underhanded threats towards

Repair work takes forever if done at all... Left with major repair work and unusable guest bathroom, due to the asbestos hazard, for 4 months! Then we were told we had to move during holiday season and when we didn’t get a place on their timeline we got a 3day pay or quit then 3wks later an eviction hearing notice! Nice ...

Love the management they are very accommodating lived here for about 6 months we first lived in a 3 bedroom until there was a mysterious leak that eventually cause more damage to the point that we needed to move. My family was able to move into a 2 bedroom unit and the management was able to help expedite our transition.
We love it here expecially the amenities from the gym to the grill area etc...

There is no property manager(community director) working at Sonoma ridge at Bennett valley, if you have issues you will need to relay issues through ever changing temp staff and hope another fpi community director will take time to address your issues. Used to be good staff but has gone down hill to the point of running with ghost staffing.

I enjoyed my time at Sonoma Ridge. The managers, Katrina and Glenn, are responsive and personable. Need a light bulb replaced outdoors, need the cable moved inside your unit, need Ramon to do some kind of minor repair? Needs are met promptly and efficiently by all the staff. Walking distance to some nice restaurants, banks, hardware store, nursery, etc., in Bennett Valley. Lovely, and considering the size of the complex, calm and quiet thanks to vigilant and competent management!
