What is a Filling? A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. When a dentist gives you a filling, he or she first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned out cavity with a filling material. By closing off spaces where bacteria can enter, a filling also helps prevent further decay.
Clear braces are a set of custom-made clear plastic aligners, which are designed to shift your teeth into the proper position. About twice a month, the patient switches to a new set of aligner trays, repeating this until their teeth are in the correct position. Clear braces are intended to deliver the same benefits as traditional braces but the aligner trays are less noticeable, offering an aesthetic advantage.

My husband and I had a really frustrating and disappointing experience with Navy Yard Dental. After a move and transition to a new dental office, the staff at Navy Yard Dental were unwilling/able to transfer a complete set of our dental x-ray records to our new provider. After an exhausting back-and-forth with Navy Yard Dental, their staff eventually relayed to us that they had lost some of our medical records and had no way of retrieving them. I had a terrible tooth that was infected. I drove 4 hours just to come to Dr. Jones because I know how great his quality of work is. It is very compassionate with his patients and makes you feel at ease. I would recommend for anyone to come visit Navy Yard Dental. The staff and assistants are amazing and the office is modern with up to date technology. This definitely the best dental office in the area.

Dr. Jones is hands down the best dentist in the DMV area. As someone that’s lived here my whole life, I’ve been searching for a kind and respectful dentist that really cares about their patients. I cannot say enough good things. The reviews are really that good for a reason. It was easy to book an appointment online. I was nervous after not going to the dentist in too long, but everyone was friendly, relaxed, and put me at ease. No wait time at all. Everything in the office was super up to date. Cleaning was totally painless. Dr. Jones was so relaxed and easy to talk to. My biggest concern was that a dentist would overcharge me or surprise me with a big bill. The opposite was true. They even took time to check my insurance and explained how much a procedure would cost without me asking

This was my first dentist appointment in years, and I entered with low expectations based on previous experiences. Dr. Jones was warm, forthright and knowledgeable, and eased my anxiety by showing me my scans and talking through his reasoning. This has not been a problem in the least because they send my insurance a bill quickly every single time, and my insurance reimburses me. They let me know prior to the appointment how much I will need to pay, and they provide a detailed itemized receipt that makes it simple for me to get reimbursed. I appreciate how quickly they do this because it’s not something that happens seamlessly at every healthcare provider.

My first visit to Dr. Jones' office was very pleasant, but my second visit was not as nice. After waiting a short while after the scheduled time of my appointment, I was taken to the back to receive my cleaning. I was seated in the chair before waiting for Dr. Jones to come in to perform his examination. He came in and began my cleaning before someone else entered and informed him that he was needed in another room. He stopped and walked away without saying anything. The hygienist entered the room 15-20 minutes later to finish what Dr. Jones started. At this point I am now 40 minutes

After just moving to DC I needed to find a dentist and wanted to find one in my community. I'm beyond grateful to have found Dr. Chad Jones at Navy Yard Dental. Dr. Jones is genuine and professional. He filled my chipped front tooth and it looks fabulous. It can be worrisome when it's your front tooth but he did a flawless job! I can't speak highly enough for them getting me into the office after making an appointment online the night prior. He and his sweet staff make a great team! My husband and I will be going back for all our dental needs.

Every day, since January 2019, I've regretted entrusting Dr. Jones and his team to touch anything in my mouth. To this day, I still experience pain in my tooth from what was supposed to be a "small filling." Two root canals later-- still in pain. And the correspondence I received after expressing my concerns to Dr. Jones was demeaning and abhorrent. I would not recommend this office to my worst enemy.

By chance I decided to try this dental office after a bad experience with a dentist I have been going to for the past year.
I am so glad I kept the postcard that Navy Dental sent out. Excellent customer service and excellent service. I had to get a deep cleaning wasn't looking forward to the shots but who knew they had a numbing rinse that does the same thing. I was so pleased that I made another appointment to come back.

Horrible customer service and administrative issues relating to processing my insurance and communicating with my dental insurance company. Paid a deductible that was not required and was never refunded. Dr. Jones and his staff were not helpful at all with resolving this dispute. I've never had dental insurance issues with my dentist in my 20+ years of receiving dental services

I can't say enough nice things about Navy Yard Dental! Their whole team has been so friendly, communicative, and helpful during my process of becoming a new patient and coming for a cleaning and a separate filling.
The Dr. and the hygienists were both very sweet and patient while I was nervous and required some extra time during my appointments in order to feel comfortable.
I also appreciate that they did not try to push sales of any unnecessary products, or pass any judgement based on the state of my teeth. (My last dentist constantly asked when I would get Invisalign.)

I have been a patient at Navy Yard Dental for a year now . Every appointment that I have experienced was great . The staff is very professional. I am always seen promptly. Dr. Jones is great. He is the only dentist that I have had that does not discomfort my mouth . He is very gentle. I commute from 45 minutes away but I do not mind . They are worth the drive .
