CareCredit is an easy way to pay for your healthcare over time, with low monthly payments and special interest rates. You can use your CareCredit card to pay for many kinds of healthcare expenses, including your eye exams, eyeglasses, contacts, and even sunglasses. You can use your CareCredit card for yourself or members of your family.
Most patients come to our Reno office because they are in need of new contacts or eyeglasses. The eye can reveal much information about the general health of the body, often revealing the first signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. Uncorrected and under-corrected prescriptions can lead to headaches, eye fatigue, eye twitching, and eye pain.
Our office has consistently invested in the latest technology to best serve our patients, including our investment in retinal photography equipment. Patients who have previously visited our practice have all had retinal photos taken as a part of their routine eye exam, and we have now invested in a brand new imaging system that allows us to better images than ever before.
To make your eyeglass selection simpler, we can use our office iPad to take your picture, or we can help you take your photos with your smartphone so you can email or text them to your friend or fashion consultant! Our opticians are also more than happy to share their expertise and opinions with you.

They really mean the family part at Cochrane Family Eye Care. Dr. Cochrane takes care of every one of his patients like they were family. I've been seeing Dr. Cochran since 2014, and there's a reason why I keep coming back. Every time I've had an issue with regarding my eyecare he attended to it with a great deal of concern and care. This is the best Eyecare office I have ever been to! And I have been wearing glasses all my life, contacts for 50 years!
I had a trauma to my eye and they worked me in on a Friday afternoon. Never made me feel rushed and gave me a thorough exam, relieving my anxiety that I had serious damage.
As a cash patient, I appreciate their reasonable rates and they never try to "sell" me something. The office folks are lovely and friendly...you can tell from the vibe it is a great place to work. Thank you Dr. Cochrane!!

Haven't had an eye exam or new glasses in three years. New patient here. Very professional and quick. Accepts my medicaid plan and the office was nice too, though a bit hard to find.

I randomly found Dr Cochrane because I needed a new doctor and I found his office to be the closest to where I live. I’m not a huge researcher. I like to feel things out in person, so I booked an appointment. Everything was so user friendly! I’ve been with him now for 4 years and I’ll never switch. All my appointments are easy to make and confirm. Everything is digital and electronic. The appointment is always done in less than 30 min. I only started to wear glasses a few years ago and came to Cochrane Family Eyecare due to a recommendation from my wife. I’m glad I did. The staff are very courteous and I’m in and out within 20 minutes. Dr. Cochrane is extremely pleasant and helpful. He explains everything he’s doing and answers my questions. He doesn’t push new eye scripts on me or “suggest” I buy new things. I expect to be a patient here for years to come.

I thought this place was excellent !!! From the first woman that I spoke with on the phone to the Dr. himself everyone was very polite, courteous and a all around pleasure to deal with. Dr. Cochrane was awesome. Very calm ,cool, collected and professional. I really enjoyed the customer service that this place provides. There are a lot of businesses that should take notes from this office as the correct way to treat people and operate. I would absolutely recommend to anyone in need of optical care! Lastly, I was self pay, and the rates were very reasonable, if not cheap, however the service provided
