First impression was the outside look promising. The inside however looked odd. The booths were cheap as you could feel everything the person behind you was doing. We noticed that the glasses on our table were disgusting and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned. Our waitress was okay. The food was average as well. Sauce was watered down for the spaghetti and meatballs as well as the fettuccine Alfredo. Meatballs weren’t done. Might give it a try again. But not for a long time.

Went for New Years dinner. Had live jazz band and special menu. We chose steak and stuffed lobster tail. The steak was good but there was only one bite of lobster in the tail. Tables were very close together which made me uncomfortable. Most patrons did not were masks at any time. Over all it was just a good night out for my husband and myself.

Hamburger - raw and cold in the middle
Fettuccine Alfredo - good

Drinks - Good
Never brought steak knife or steak sauce despite being requested.
Water glasses were filthy, brought new ones that were roughly the same.
Atmosphere is good.
Would not come back.

We found our new fav restaurant in Mt. Vernon. Monday was our first time there and food was great, although I wish they had garlic sticks or rolls and plain garlic bread (not smothered in cheese) served with meals instead of plain bread. Our waitress Danielle was excellent even though she was very busy.

Service was slow. Food was good. Presentation was less than to be desired. The picture of how my food came out is posted. The server should have asked for it to be replated before it ever came to the table and the chef should know better than to have it leave the kitchen! When she brought it she said something and I agreed. I couldn't even cut into it without it falling on the table. By the time I did get a plate, most of our table was half way done with their meals before I even started.

Ate Mazza's twice in the last week, both times were carry out, so I can't give a proper run down on dine in experience. Possibly following Covid19, I may update review and try inside.
For the time being the first was for a company meeting where we ordered the family sized meals of spaghetti and chicken Alfredo, garlic bread, and the Mazza's salad. Plentiful food, all tasted great. The entire room was satisfied with the food.
I personally didn't like the garlic bread, seemed soggy and to much garlic, but, others enjoyed it so perhaps just my own preference.

It's great to see a Mount Vernon classic return! The new Mazza's is run by the same family and has a lot of tradition and history. We had dinner on a Tuesday night and were seated immediately by the owner. I ordered the lasagna and my wife had fettuccini alfredo with shrimp. Both meals were delicious. If you love garlic make sure to order the Mazza's Salad! They also have a great wine list to go with your meal. We finished with the tiramisu, amazing! Thanks for the great night out!
