My girlfriend and I purchased a Special Gift Certificate for a one night stay and dinner or lunch for two through a Ronald McDonald House silent auction and were looking forward to a weekend getaway at the Kenyon Inn. We purchased the certificate only a few months ago and it expires on August 1st, so we tried to book our night towards the end of July but were told that they have filled the rooms with students for the rest of the summer. No big deal, we were willing to wait and book out when they eventually do have vacancy.

The World's Best Tomato Bisque
Remember the scene in 'Elf' when Buddy finds the greasy spoon diner with the sign. "The World's Best Coffee?" That was a joke, but this is real. My sister in law said that the tomato bisque was very good -- and it was all that and more! Rich, thick, with great flavor. Oh yes, the other food was fine, too, and the super service was as good as the food. Come to the Kenyon Inn for classy fine dining -- but be sure to start with the tomato bisque. Get the bowl, not the cup. Maybe order one for an opener and another for the main course? I would consider it!
