We offer Prenatal Yoga, Postpartum Yoga with Baby, Yoga for Labor & Birth Partner Workshop, and a Perinatal Support Group. All of our Perinatal offerings are welcoming spaces for queer and trans postpartum students-everyone is welcome. Workshops are specialized one-time classes for those that like to dive deep into a particular topic or theme.
Events create spaces for us to gather and get to know one another, on and off the mat. These one-time offerings foster our community! Every season we create a new set of Special Series that we are thrilled to offer the community. These are educational opportunities to dive deeper into asana, philosophy, and Ayurveda alongside other curious folk.

Our studio is a strong, sweet community where our yoga practice nourishes body and soul. We offer alignment-based hatha, flow, restorative, and yin yoga classes for all ages and life stages. Our teachers are grounded in their lineages of yoga practice, and honor the roots of the many yogic traditions that come from India, as passed to them through their teachers.
When I ask longtime students what they love about Yoga Sanctuary, they gush about the teachers' range and expertise, the tight knit community, and the beautiful space. Let me tell you about it. We are a Hatha studio. Our teachers are grounded in their lineages of yoga practice, and honor the roots of the many yogic traditions that come from India, as passed to them through their teachers.
An alignment-based Hatha practice with heart-centered themes. The practice is an integration of Anusara-inspired alignment principles with Tantric philosophy drawn primarily from Rajanaka Yoga (Douglas Brooks). Just as we are asked to engage more deeply with our body's wisdom on the mat, Form & Flow also calls us to engage more deeply with our lives and our collective community.

These classes are intended to meet the needs of our community that may not be able to afford yoga otherwise, or for whom yoga has not felt accessible for racial and/or cultural reasons. For outdoor classes where spots are limited, priority of enrollment will be given to non-members, but members are welcome to join if spots are available.

This is the best yoga studio in the valley (and believe me, I've looked!) - I always come back to yoga sanctuary because I feel like all of the teachers not only care about their classes, but their students as well. They're always willing to assist and modify poses to fit everyone's comfort level, and it just makes practicing that much more enjoyable.

I love the high quality teachers and training's offered here. In the ways the yoga practice as a lifestyle matter for my evolving body and mind this studio is the place I go to! Every time I practice here it's like coming home to myself. I will continue to recommend everyone visit Yoga Sanctuary and expand their potential.

I did a drop in class with Lisa and loved it. She was very warm and encouraging. If I lived here, i would go to this class all the time. The studio is very sunny and spacious. The studio is on the third floor of a retail/ business building (Thornes) and there is a chair massage studio, cute stores and a healthy restaurant in the building (Paul and Elizabeth)-so lots to do there.

Great studio and location with thoughtful, kind instructors. I love Sara Field's StrongFlow classes. Definitely a power class that will help you power through a case of "The Mondays" and leave you feeling energized and pumped. Love Sara Rose's classes too. They are physically challenging (in a good way) and inspiring.

Visiting Northampton, went to a class with Lisa today. The instruction was SO good. She was clear, the instruction was interesting--not just classic repetitions but thoughtful guidance that helped me experience poses in new ways. She is also very affirming of people in the class and has a kind, supportive approach. Wish I lived in Northampton and could study with her more. The space was also huge, sunny and gorgeous.

I attended yoga classes here several years ago (2009-2012). I enjoyed my classes, but always felt the teachers were clique(ish). From what I can see those teachers have left. I attended classes, but was also looking for my community, for some reason it seemed I didn't quite 'fit' in. I thought yoga was about acceptance, no matter where you were on your your path. I left this studio and thankfully found my Kula. But I feel a yoga studio should be welcoming to all!

I am now trying to cancel my automatically renewed membership that I have held for 2+ years. They are not making this easy for me. An email or a phone call should be enough. This studio requires a 30 days' warning and a hand-signed form for the membership to be terminated. Otherwise, they keep withdrawing the monthly fee. I have not been to the studio for 4+ months, have been asking to terminate the account for over 2 months and find myself out over $150 dollars. I wish they'd just stop charging me money at this point. Certainly a bad way to treat an otherwise loyal customer of 2 years

I started practicing yoga regularly for the first time in my life two+ years ago at the Yoga Sanctuary and I am a more whole and healthy person as a result. I used to have lower back issues but with their focus on proper alignment and core strength I've become much stronger. All the instructors are uniquely wonderful, and what I particularly love is that in all this time I don't think there's been a class just like another. We're all together in a constant state of learning.
And if you are just dropping in, you will be made to feel very welcome!

I live in Boston but went to a drop in Saturday morning class at Yoga Sanctuary while visiting friends in Northampton. It was a beautiful location, the teacher was fantastic (she went around and talked to new people before the class started), and the student vibe was really positive. The all levels class had a mix of yoga practitioners. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in town!

I came to Northampton to participate in a weekend workshop with my mother at Yoga Sanctuary. I have attended many yoga classes and workshops in the ten years that I have been practicing yoga, and I have never been to one where so little attention was paid to the safety and well being of the participants.
The advertising material did not describe the workshop as "Advanced" or mention any prerequisites. It appeared to be an "All Levels" workshop. In the first two-hour session, we were asked to practice handstands in the middle of the room, practice backbends, and splits. The
