Should take care of their properties better. Also have no standards on who they hire for landlords. So far my experience with them has been very... poor to say the least.

This company just bought the apartment complex I live in not even a week and already off to a bad start with every tenant here. People who have paid rent are getting eviction notices and now trying to charge us to pay rent online. Won’t be here much longer ✌🏽

Dawn is the only reason this got 4 stars. She was AMAZINGLY helpful toward getting me processed. I had been going through loops for MONTHS trying to get an apartment. She verified and cleared up confusion and the process that started months ago finally has come to an end. I think it may be time for some Property Manager overhauls but the processing has been a lot faster thus far 👌

I’m angry beyond words. This company is in violation when it comes to their tenants well being. I informed my apartment complex 12/3/20 of the issues of not having heat. They were very nonchalant and dismissive and said that it’s not much they can do except check their heat. They said they can check to see if the heat is between 60-70 degrees if it is there is not much they can do. Since 2017 every winter no heat. So I called Denizen Management 12/3/20 and requested a call back from Matthew. I was transferred to Matthews extension and I left a message with my contact number. He did not call

Been a renter for 3 years. They bought our building and like everyone else has said they will milk you dry and not care at all. Charged me an extra 110 dollars for fees they can't explain. Now I'm sitting in the hole in my account as they refuse to work with you. Any other rental company would be willing to work with you. Took them 5 days to fix a neighbors water heater. They replaced over a week ago and the old one is still sitting in the hall way. Mine went out and it took them 10 days to fix mine. Maybe a call to the Bbb can solve things

Current resident of a property managed by Denizen (Cincinnati, OH). A few complaints about these slumlords:
1. The lock on the main entrance was changed, and ALL residents were given the wrong keys. We were all locked out for 72 hours, and Denizen was contacted countless times. Denizen did not respond to any of the residents for three days.
2. The heat in my building has been out for 5 days, and every night has been below 30 degrees. The current temperature in my apartment is 50-55 degrees, and will only decrease as temperatures in the ‘teens are expected this week. Denizen has been contacted

If I could give a zero I promise I would. We live in Omaha at one of the properties they own. They are stealing money from people. Then charging you after you move out. They hound you to renew your lease only to wait until you go & get you with a three day notice. Then turned around to give us a 30 day notice without adding the rent for the next month. I am so upset. I don't understand why we can't renew. The reason they gave was because they wanted the property back. I was making complaints about the place. Which I have a right to service. Our breaker box blew out 4 times. Burned my arm. Stove

The only positive reviews on here are of their own employees, who most likely do not rent from Denizen.
Our heat has been out for 5 days with temperatures in the 30's, and no response from management. We are frankly disturbed by the lack of empathy and organization they seem to have.
Denizen, if any of your employees or managers are reading this: if you are overwhelmed by one simple request to fix a vital maintenance issue, sell some of your properties and become more cost effective. Or, COME FIX OUR HEAT!!!!

Guys, just run, don't give them the chance to take your dignity as a human!! I would rate them 0 if I can. They eat your money! Don't rent anything from them!! I rented an apartment from them at Kingsview about two months ago, there has been cockroaches all over my apartment since the first day I moved in, I have tried to solve the problem actively, but then the property manager was never at work, neither does she know what she is doing about her work. They do not take care of the problem as they promised in the lease and they dare to take my deposit and three month's rent when I am now forced

We worked for Denizen Management at their property in Canton Ohio. They owe us almost $8000 and refuse to even take our phone calls. The manager kept telling us that they were having some cash flow issues but would be paying us soon. After been giving the run around for some time, we quit doing business with them. Now we can't get anyone to return our calls or even answer the phone. Everyone at Denizen and The Heights refuse to give us any info on the owner so that we might resolve this issue. Most of the time we worked for them it was in apartments filled with roaches or bed bugs. They don't care
