I am a current VMA resident, I recommend Villa Marina Apartments, why? This maybe not a paradise for some people but I can’t figure out why, this place is near to most important points in Chula Vista, have access to a private area with Pool and Jacuzzi, bugs free, solid structures, great design, private parking spots, street parking is also available for extra cars, staff members are professional and kind, they are bilingual, every section have a Laundry room (x2), apartment interior size are big, what you probably like the most is that all this and more comes in a completely reasonable price

The staff member are truly great! They are friendly, and always willing to help the residents. Thank you for all your help! I haven't had any problems with maintenance or residents. I recommend this place. Kindly pick up your dog's waste (the staff members were actively taking care of the problem) but it's the owners responsibility. If you can't get a cat instead.

I lived Here back in summer 2017. I signed For a twelve month lease. I broke My lease in October of 2017 due to the horrible rat infestation. The leasing manager and i got Into it and she accused me of being the rats with me when i moved In. She said if wanted to break my lease i would Have to pay a months worth of rent which is the fee of breaking a lease. I said Nope. Called human health services showed them pictures and they broke my lease . But to be honest i was Sad about breaking my lease cause i loved The location

NOT AT ALL LUXURY APARTMENT. I’m living at this place and having my poorest apartment experience ever . Flies , rats , cockroaches... etc everywhere even in your room. Worse thing is the rent . They don’t play with their money , if you have 2 or 3 days late , they charge you over $80 . Hidden fees , utility bills change every month. I pay between $65 and $75 for JUST water and trash , and imagine all those hundreds appartements paying same thing. That’s a huge amount for water and trash . $10 late fees for utilities. The pool is one of my biggest issues, my apartment is facing the pool and

I would have to say, THE WORSE renting experience of my life. DO NOT become a tenant at Villa Marina they are NOT "luxury" apartments.
Firstly and most importantly, the reason I left was the rat infestation that I had for SIX MONTHS out of my twelve month lease. Inside my SECOND FLOOR apartment, unit 48. I was not aware I had to notify management right away with the problem arose. I thought it would only be a couple of rats and that I could take care of it myself. More pros then cons. Other then the constant stream of homeless people going through the dumpsters. Its a comfortable and quiet place to live. Most Apartments are getting (2017) renovated as they change renters. Downside its too hot during summer, upside its perfect the rest of the year. This place is just in the perfect location, Everything is walking distance, Trolley, Walmart, freeway, 7-11, very good Asian & Mexican restaurants. If they improve the play area and fix the gates at the sidewalks I would give them four stars. Overall it's a much better place than most in the area.
