Dr. Taliento is a Maine native who was raised in Portland and Westbrook. She and her husband have two little girls and reside in Gorham. Close family relationships, and growing up in a small state like Maine, instilled a strong sense of belonging and contributing to the community. The town of Gorham, surrounding communities and all of Maplewood's patients are an extended family to Dr. Taliento.
Maplewood Dentals Arts are the region's premier provider of general dentistry for the whole family, offering dental services to Gorham, Westbrook, Portland and all of southern Maine. Did you know over 90% of adults age 20 to 64 have had a cavity? Cavities are a result of tooth decay and, when left untreated, they can severely damage teeth and contribute to a decline in your oral health.
Even though your kids are brushing twice a day they can still get small cavities. Brushing and flossing cleans most of the surfaces of children's teeth, but there are tiny crevasses in back teeth that are a serious challenge to clean. Molars and premolars have dips and creases that are perfect food and bacteria traps and young teeth are more vulnerable to decay.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in a couple years and I was very in need of a cleaning and visit in general. I was incredibly pleased with how polite the staff was. Nicole was the Hygienist I saw and she made the whole process super easy and as enjoyable as it could be! Easy to talk to and walked me through everything she was doing and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. The room was very clean and sanitized and I left looking forward to my next visit! Thank you Maplewood for a great experience!

I’ve been to plenty of dentists in my life and I can honestly say Dr. T is the best. I’ve had fillings done in the past and just had one filled by her this morning. It was a great experience (as great as having a filling can be!). I didn’t feel a thing and they made me very comfortable the entire time. The whole staff is very professional and friendly. Also felt completely comfortable with all the new procedures. Thank you all!

Had a Dentist visit today that went exceptionally well. No long time wait to be seen. Required to wear a mask before entering building. Screened to insure
I did not have Covid symptoms before entering the patient area. Promptly see and for my procedure. As a patient I was warmly welcomed and felt very at ease. This vist was very thorough, proficient, and delightful. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing any dental work.

Who would expect to walk into a dentist office having the absolute worse morning and leave smiling and so relaxed?! Kim E. Is so energetic, friendly, and positive and gave the most gentle cleaning/xrays ever! The doctor was so pleasant and has a great sense of humor. So happy to finally find such a wonderful dental office to come for my entire family!!

Dr. Seeking was my very first dentist. My family has been seeing him for at least 30 years. Because of him and his team, I have always enjoyed my trips to the dentist. Switching to Dr. Taliento was bittersweet for me but she is nothing short or amazing and makes you laugh while she’s at it! I would recommend Maplewood Dental Arts to anyone!

First visit. Impressed by how pleasant the staff was from the time I arrived until I left. The doctor explained the condition of my teeth and put a suggested treatment plan in place..no pushy sales pitch to go for the most expensive options...unlike a previous dentist had proposed. I was given options. Actually looking forward to going back.
