When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

Thank you so much for the amazing service you provide for my Father funeral.
It was easy to deal and have everything ready, we are catholic, and we requested the pastor from Our Lady of Loretto they help us by calling and making sure a Pastor was coming to do a prayer at the funeral home,
they also schedule a mass at the church before we bury my father at the cemetery, this was very important to my mom and I was happy for all the effort and service provided by Greg and specially his Sister, By bringing my father to the church making sure everything was on time! they stopped the traffic to make

I lost my 28 year old daughter on December 13th right before the Christmas holidays and I came to Hartnett Funeral Home to use their services.
I have never planned a Funeral before in my life and had no idea of what to do.
The staff at Harnett were so passionate and caring that it made things much easier for me to plan my daughters farewell.
And this was a very difficult thing to do.
I would recommend them to others any day.

Gregg and the entire staff at Hartnett Funeral Home were excellent in helping us during the passing of our grandmother. They were quick with communication and respected our needs and desires. From beginning to end, they walked us through various details and made any necessary adjustments. My family is grateful for the service they provided. And the location is great with ample parking.

My family and I were here about a month ago and I just want to say what a great job Greg and his team did. My grandfather lived a wonderful life and his death was something that hurt the community greatly. With so much pain, I can say that they helped us through this tough time and took care of all of our needs. My entire family was thankful for Hartnett Funeral home. If I ever need these services, I will definitely use them again.
I would also like to add that we transported my grandfathers body to El Salvador and thanks to Hartnett Funeral Home, the paperwork and everything needed was 100% accurate
