Graduated from the Bernard M. Baruch School of Business Administration of the City University of New York in 1965. After a successful apprenticeship with a major C.P.A. firm in the New York area, Irving started his own practice and gained expertise in all aspects of a Public Practice from Individual Tax Planning to S.E.C. Filings, Mergers and Acquisitions.

I have been using IWB & Company for over 20 years. I have had a number of circumstances over the years that have tested Irving, Kia, Zane and the rest of the staff to come up with creative and honest solutions. They have never failed me.
The one time I was audited by the IRS Irving came with me and straightened out everything with the agent without costing me a cent.
There is nothing better than competent accountants having your back. Thanks IWB.

I agree with the reviewer who mentioned that Irving, the founder, does quality work, but his staff of family members are not on par, and should be approached with caution!. I had a bad experience with low quality work and sloppiness, that resulted in penalties that I had to pay, and surcharges for work that needed to be redone. Details too painful to rehash here. Yet the person who referred me, who works with Irving, has been pleased over the years. Your mileage may vary.

I have worked with IWB & Co for several years. I had an outside firm audit my accounting files & I realized that there were way too many mistakes being made. I had to pay the outside firm to correct these mistakes. I decided then that it would be better for me to stop using this firm.
The staff that works here is very unprofessional. They make you wait several days to return a phone call. They even said that I had an outstanding balance on my account which was a lie. I had a cashed check that they denied cashing. It turns out that they did in fact cash the check. They never apologized

It's that time of year and I'm shocked that I haven't already reviewed IWB & Co. IWB stands for Irving William Bernstein and I've been going to Irving for about 5 years for all my tax needs. When I first started to do tax returns in the US I used to use TurboTax but once my returns got anyway complicated I decided to seek professional help. While IWB & Co's services aren't cheap, the team does an amazing job of minimizing your expenses and ensuring you're reducing your tax liability.
