The government is constantly changing the tax rules, and is often rigid, difficult to access and difficult to deal with.

Tax planning is useful in organizing your situation and reporting information to take advantage of all tax opportunities available to minimize your tax liability. This could include incorporating, setting up retirement plans, records organization etc. Oftentimes, tax planning is done in July and December.

Richard is a CPA, licensed in California and New York, with an MBA in Finance/Accounting from Columbia University, and over 20 years of tax, accounting and audit experience. Most recently, Richard was a partner at CCK Corporation, a professional accounting practice located in Novato, California. The firm tripled in billings during the four years Richard was there.

Prior to working in the accounting field, Shelah ran her own graphics design business and had varied focus on project management, internet marketing, bookkeeping and accounting trouble-shooting. After moving to Marin County from Texas, Shelah worked at Autodesk in several capacities.

She initially started as a Production Artist, moved to Graphic Designer and then to Presentation Specialist, preparing presentations for the companies senior executives.In 1994, Shelah began her own Graphics Design company, Shelah Norman Design. The majority of her clients tended to be software firms, including accounting software companies such as SBT Accounting Systems and ACCPAC Accounting Systems.
