Tara and Chris and team have been trusted advisors and meticulous tax planners for our family for 10 years. Tara helped me work through two job changes and has assisted my husband with changes to his self employment and LLC structures in that time. She's approachable, responsive, wise and thorough. We found Chris and his practice when we lived in Mill Valley. From the moment we shook hands, we knew we had met a wonderful and competent tax professional. His entire office staff were kind and responsive and were available to answer our questions the entire time. We hadn't ever paid someone to do our taxes before and decided to double check our outcome with TurboTax and we almost died when we saw the difference. I am very impressed with the knowledge and honesty of Chris Frederiksen, whom I visited after finding him on Yelp. I approached him regarding the tax implications of a complex investment real estate sale I am considering. Chris spent an hour discussing the deal with me and concluded I would suffer a huge tax loss if I structured it in the way I intended. In November of 2017 I received a polite but aggressive letter from the IRS demanding nearly $50,000 plus interest and penalties. I explained my position but the IRS only yawned between sips of coffee and explained the money was due, they knew where I lived and that they were locked and loaded and coming after me with hot barrels blazing.

Tara and her team are beyond wonderful! If it's possible to make tax time something to look forward to, well then they have succeeded in my mind. I found Tara completely by accident in 2009 and have been nothing but completely satisfied since. I could not ask for a better team. Hmm where do I start. I know they have demonstrated that they have my financial interests as top priority. They do not hold back on their advice. Recently Chris Frederiksen saw me very quickly about an important decision on my career. I Spent an insightful 1.5 hrs with him and then he produced a document for me that was outstanding the same afternoon!! I have high standards when it comes to service and integrity and these CPAs have surpassed my standards. It is difficult to give specifics without revealing my personal finances. They are as good as it gets!

My wife and I have had our taxes done for the last several years through a friend of ours. This last year we bought a house and had a baby so we chose to have our taxes done locally and selected Tara Crawford to do them. Her office was very professional and met all of our expectations and more. Tara not only prepared 2010 taxes for us she also went back a few years and organized our old taxes and found some errors in them without being asked to.
