Bikram Yoga Katy's mission is to enrich the community and to provide a new body, new mind and a new life to its clients through Bikram Choudhury's unique yoga sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises; therefore, contributing to mental, physical and social well-being. I began practicing Bikram Yoga in 2010 and it has changed my life in countless good ways.
Bikram Yoga, commonly known as hot yoga, is a system of yoga that Bikram Choudhury synthesized from traditional yoga techniques and popularized beginning in the early 1970s. Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class runs approximately 90 minutes, incorporates a series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, and is practiced in a room heated to 105°F with 40% humidity.
In consideration for those with sensitivities or allergies, please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or strongly scented products in class. When finding a spot in the studio, please do so quietly. Put your mat on the line, 1/2 of the way over the line while being considerate of those around you.
Inferno Hot Pilates is an extremely challenging full-body workout using Pilates principles. There is no impact, so it is a safe practice for all fitness levels. How would you like to strengthen your core muscles so that you can easily lift up your up kids or carry your groceries? How about keeping your body feeling young, healthy, and strong?
This class is practiced in a room heated to a minimum of 105°F with a minimum of 40% humidity. Notes: This class is not for the weak. The 60 minute Bikram Beginning Yoga Class will have a modified standing series while still having the authentic floor series with 2 breathing exercises. This class is not designed to replace the 90 minute Bikram Yoga Class, period.

Long read ahead, I don't mind spending some time on this review. Went in expecting decent yoga, left with a headache from the instructor's disrespectful attitude and dismal customer service.
"Expires 25, 2022" leads the GroupOn description but is followed by a "30 day policy". I can accept my fault for not noticing this, but it's still contradictory and misleading. I tried asking for an extension, since I don't live in Katy anymore and would not be able to use the package in time--an instructor denied it (which I can understand), and I proceeded to attend

Visited this studio this week on a Groupon purchase. After reviewing some of the "bad" reviews I was a little worried because I haven't been "keeping up" with my fitness recently and was concerned I would be called out for breaks. Thankfully, I wasn't and I never needed to leave the room. I have done Bikram before, but years ago and holy cow is it hot. Within 30 minutes of class the heat hits your face like you were standing in front of the sun or in Houston on a normal summer day. It was hard but rewarding all in all. The instructor, Brenda, offered us a iced washcloth

Attended a Bikram Yoga class today, after a gap of nearly 2 years. I respect that it's a strict practice, and some instructors don't let people inside after the first pose. So, rather than assuming/just walking in, I asked if I'd still be allowed in class if I was tardy. Was told "absolutely fine!"
Then, I walked in, paid the pricey fee with the receptionist, and entered the 105 degree heated classroom. This is where the yoga instructor actually asked me to leave. Repeat: She actually kicked me out of the class.
This was after I cleared it with the person on the phone

It is a nice studio and the male instructor is really good. The only things I didn't like was that it gets really hot and you are not allowed to leave . Also, this studio definitely caters for your locals. The way they sell their packets I really do not like you buy an x amount of sessions and have an x amount of time to use them.. The time is also very short ..

This is a phenomenal studio. First of all the instructors are amazing; ALL of them. They get to know you by name, encourage your practice and always have amazingly helpful advice to offer. The staff makes a point to get to know you and they have a really easy system setup so you don't have to drag your wallet in for water or other yoga necessities. The studio does not smell sweaty and is very clean and bright. The studio is spacious and you should never have to worry about bumping into someone or not having a good view of yourself in the mirror. The women's restrooms have multiple

State of the art facility! I've been to several studios and the this one is by far the cleanest. After class treat yourself to a hot/cold shower, deodorant, dental floss, mouthwash. I always feel refreshed afterwards and prepared for the day. Feels like hot yoga with a splash of DaySpa. Don't get me wrong though it is always hot and the instructors strive to receive each individuals best effort. There are also top notch male and female athletes that come occasionally which motivates you when your posture measures up to theirs.

This studio is one of the nicest I've been to. The room is perfect temperature for Bikram's HOT yoga. The teachers are all good. They have there own insights and everyone I've had, I liked. The bathroom/changing area is nice and big. It's a little pricey but very competitive with other Bikram studios. I would highly recommend this studio to everyone. It's clean, nice, big and the teachers are good. They have everything you could need to buy or rent available. And I didn't here any talking before or after class :)

Hot Hades! This is the hottest yoga studio and I have visited just about all of them here in the Houston area. If I closed my eyes and imagined a bit, it truly felt like I was with Bikram in India it was that flipping hot and humid.
I was lucky enough to to pay $5 for a class. No groupon. No living social - Halloween Special! You can too through the end of the year every Friday at their 6:30 PM classes. It was well worth it too. I had TWO instructors! It was great to have the first pose with one instructor and then the second with another. What a treat... I know it's not the norm

Pros:
They run promos and you can get a fairly good intro rate but if you're in it for the long haul, the prices are really steep for maintenance.
Most of the staff are super friendly
The facility is clean and well maintained
The location
Cons:
Personally, it feels a little cult-like at times. Encouraged not to drink during session unless TOLD to drink and WHEN.
Strongly albeit flat out told to STAY in the room. Everywhere else I have been or been told about, you can do what you tolerate. Any time people left the room or drank water, they got called out by the instructor on the mike

Disclaimer: I've done Hot Yoga once before in Dallas at Sunstone Yoga, it was hot as hades, but not so bad because I have done yoga before. I really do think this studio is way too HOT! I could only complete about an hour of the 90 minute routine and I definitely wasn't the only one (wink wink to you super hot muscley man who took lots of breaks with me). They do want you to stay in the room, but don't make you feel bad for taking breaks, so newbies dont be afraid. Despite stopping I still burned 750 calories (I had a heart rate monitor), which is a pretty good workout for 90
