Yoga West
The Yoga Wall is not a new yoga prop, having been developed as part of the Iyengar tradition years ago, but it is gaining in popularity. The wall offers considerable versatility, and can be used to hang from, lean on or push against to find stability in yoga asanas. The Yoga Wall acts like a silent partner, providing support for the body while it lengthens, stretches and opens.

Think of the Yoga Wall like getting a yummy massage after a long run, or a strenuous workout. Experienced yogis may find that the Yoga Wall will provide more access to poses that they struggle with on the mat, such as inversions and deep backbends. Students with injuries or limitations may find that the Yoga Wall provides additional support as well as freedom in the joints and muscles, allowing for some relief.

This is an absolutely amazing studio. From the wonderful instructors and range of classes to the lovely other members, it doesn't get any better. I am so grateful that Yoga West was there for me at the time I needed it most.

I wanted to write a letter of my gratitude to yoga west. I didn't realize that their teachings would have taught me so much about myself and would have carried me so far in life. Yes, I can still do yoga and remember my poses. But what I didn't realize at the time was how important it was to breathe p. Slow down and just breathe. I think that single message was what carried me through so much of my journey of the last few years.

You taught me focus. You taught me calm. You taught me yoga. You taught me gratitude for everything. You taught me about the whole being, the whole person

Kat Steele is the very best massage therapist there is out there! She is very knowledgeable about what to do for specific pain issues, to help correct it. I am so glad I found her. You won't be disappointed at all. She also teaches Yoga and Belly Dance classes.

I absolutely LOVE Yogawest and all of the instructors. This place was my first experience with yoga....other than some videos at home....at it has literally been life changing.
Yoga has helped manage (its virtually gone) my back and neck pain, and has helped control my anxiety and depression. I take something from every class and every instructor.
Danni's, Yoga for everybody on Wednesdays, is my favorite class. It's challenging for me and I can see improvement in myself every week. She also does an extended meditation/savasana at the end of class and it completely resets me for the week

Went to Yoga West to get some information. When I opened the door (which was unlocked) I could see a Yoga session going on. When the Yoga instructor saw me she told me to with a hand gesture to bugger off. Without saying anything 'friendly' she locked the door after I closed it. This type of behaviour does not really fit my understanding of Yoga and all its meaning. This behaviour does not only tell a lot about good manners but also a lot of the quality of the Yoga. It's a total no-go.

Great addition to the Katy yoga community. The rooms are larger than at their other location and there is a nice large area to place your personal items during class. There are also a variety of classes here including barre and aerial yoga and a massage therapist on site as well.

In my previous yoga time I had the monthly Glow package, but I didn't feel I was going enough to justify the price. For this reason I bought a 20 class pack. A month later and I might have used half of it, so I'd say it was worth it. Plus the class packages don't expire so if I wind up not being able

The best Yoga Studios I have been to (Green Trails on the corner of Fry and Greenwind Chase, my "home studio" and Cinco Rancho. Inviting, Clean and Well kept. Wonderful Teachers and a very close, caring and familiar Yoga community. Wide variety and many Yoga classes, Barré, Aerial Yoga..Here is at least a couple of options for each preference. Many funny challenges during the year to provide everyone with an extra "carrot" of self-challenge. I am going here as often as I get an opening in my schedule and enjoy every moment of it. Yoga West has also an excellent Teacher Training

So I came here for my first aerial yoga class. The instructor seemed fairly new to the instructing thing so I will just leave that out of this discussion.

But, the studio was small, pretty small. Yet, there was a fairly small class of us and the space worked out just fine for me. I never bumped into my partner so I appreciated the silks being spread out enough. The studio was also very clean and there were yoga mats available to borrow since i got confused and forgot mine at home.

The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful in getting me checked in and showed me to the studio room

I came 5 mins late even though the front desk lady sorta argued with me. At least she let me in, and even though I wasn't too sure what the etiquette is for these classes. U needed to wear a sleeve shirt but they were able to provide an shirt. They basically provided everything from a place to hold ur personal items, yoga mat, yoga blocks, and shirts apparently. But if u do have ur own items, go ahead and bring those too. Despite the front desk lady's sass, the instructor was super awesome and helpful. She also gave me some great tips about my back problems which tells me she knows her

This is a solid yoga facility. Good, clean, relaxing rooms, and the instructors are engaging and knowledgeable. They offer deals on Groupon and through their website at times, so the cost is not as high as it could be. They offer lots of different classes at convenient times. I've had one teacher who was not as engaging as others, but was still interested in making sure students were doing the poses correctly. Gina has been my favorite so far. Classes do get crowded, so if you don't like your mat being within a few inches of another person's you might want to try an off time. Everyone

Kat Steele's 9a Sunday mornings are a superb way to start off your week. I really like the website and how you can browse the classes. There is always ample space in the yoga studio without bumping into your neighbor. They have cubby holes to put in your shoes and yoga bag in without crowding up the yoga space. The main thing I love is that you'll NEVER hear a cell phone ring. Ahhhh...Namaste...

I really like the variety of classes offered here. The instructors are really nice and knowledgeable. I took the first session of prenatal classes and really enjoyed them. The next session they changed instructors and I didn't feel like the new instructor really tailored the class for pregnant women. Now that I've had my baby I plan to still take their other classes. I love their belly dancing classes! Kat is a great instructor for belly dancing and for yoga!! They use to have baby and me yoga classes. I hope they bring those back... if not The Motherhood Center has them... but

Yoga West is the first studio yoga I have visited. I've practiced basic yoga from instructional cards at home so understood some of the value of the stretches but what I was missing and found here at Yoga West was the spiritual/emotional benefit of yoga. I find the hour I spend here is calming to my entire being and absolutely love it.

It's great to have a yoga studio out in the burbs. The biggest downfall to the studio is that Fry Road is very busy and sometimes the racket of a passing semi or motorcycle seeps into the room and can shake up my meditative state. But other than that

I recently found myself back in Sugar Land, and desperately looking for a good yoga studio nearby. I did some searching, and finally ran across Yoga West- a bit of a drive from Sugar Land, but still in the heart of suburban Katy.

First off, I liked the soothing environment of the studio- inviting and comfortable. I have attended the "Everyone" classes with both Mary and Molly and have loved both. I feel they really cater to multiple skill levels, and give all the attendants pretty individualized attention in perfecting technique on various poses. I found Mary and Molly very approachable

Three years ago, I discovered this wonderful Yoga studio in Katy - Yoga West. I had made a decision to try yoga, but I did not want to join a gym, the Y - I was looking for a place that had a schedule with various classes and times that suited my schedule, especially since I work during the day - I needed a place that offered night classes. I decided to check out Yoga West and boy, that was one of the best decisions I have made in my life! From the first second I walked into the studio, I felt welcomed and was helped by not only the instructors but by the students as well. Needless to say,
