My fiancé and I were at first interested in this apartment, but we no longer are, unfortunately. After speaking with Daniel Graham, the leasing manager, as well as reading deeper into the reviews, we will not even be setting up a tour. Daniel Graham was very unfriendly, unwelcoming, and not at all enthusiastic in helping to set up a tour. He talked down to me as if I did not know what day it was and continued to be short and unhelpful. I'm not sure why he was not more pleasant to deal with, but he has ruined our chances of ever living here.

I’ve been living at Summer Lake for a little of 2 years and I am sorry that I stayed so long. The apartments are old and are in need of repair badly as you can see if you have read some of the other reviews. The spiders TRUE. The HVAC system doesn’t work properly right now my air is on 60 and it is reading as 78 in my apartment. Which my light bill last month was 146 last month this month 286 in a 2 bd 2 ba. Personally with the new owners you would think they would renovate the apartments and maybe they will who knows I won’t be here to see.

Current residence & I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone . When we moved in we had issues immediately.... air was not working .. there were damage walls & cracks on doors ...
Blinds were jacked up .. Spiders everywhere ... I been calling maintenance nonstop & no one been responding .. it’s so sad .. our air is not working again & there is a leak in my son bathroom .. that someone called themselves fixing but left it still leaking & left the ceiling peelings in the tub .... I know one thing for sure we will not be renewing at all . I can’t wait till the year is up omg it will be a breath

I have enjoyed our year with Summerlake. It's a beautiful property, and while the apartments are a little old, they're charming. They have their flaws: they're difficult to keep warm or cool, and they're a little buggy. But when you live so close to water, what do you expect? Also, like I said, they're old. So the insulation is not the best. BUT the office staff have been nothing but kind, and maintenance is always attentive when called on. Plus the valet trash is amazing! (I'll miss that most when I'm gone). The complaints about the trash being piled buy the compactor are from rude tenants dumping

If I could give this place zero stars I would. It was the worst experience I have ever had with an apartment. Our place was infested with roaches, spiders, pincher bugs, and even slugs. I put in work tickets for pest care monthly from the time we moved in and we still had an infestation of bugs when we moved out a year later. The place is falling… apart. We constantly had dirty sewer water backing up into our apartment in the bathrooms. This happened multiple times before they final dug up a line to fix it right in front of our apartment. That was great but then they left a massive dirt

I don’t personally live in these apartments but I’ve visited my daughter who leases an apartment at Summer Lake several times this year. During my visits I’ve noticed that several things in the apartment were falling apart. My husband and I mentioned to our daughter to have someone come to repair those things. Forward, nine months I tried to make a work order request on her behalf because SHE (the tenant) was incapacitated due to hospitalization and giving birth to my grandson. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. It was my husband and my first apartment. We were not allowed to look at our apartment before we signed the lease because "maintenance was still working on it," and they wanted to avoid us "getting a bad impression."
On the day that we had to walk through and fill out the maintenance paperwork, I could NOT believe how awful the apartment was. It was nothing like the model apartment. I couldn't believe that maintenance had actually been there.
