Lisa Discher is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Connecticut with over 10 years of experience providing individual and family counseling. She obtained her Masters degree from Villanova and an Advanced Degree in Professional Counseling from Central Connecticut State University.
Bryan M. Schon is a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the Department of Public Health, State of Connecticut. He completed both his Bachelors and Masters degree in Psychology in Mental Health Counseling from Westfield State University including graduating with the distinction of Psy-Chi Honors.
Asham Hamilton is a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Connecticut. He completed his Bachelors and his Masters Degree in Counseling from Central Connecticut State University with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling.

A family member reached out to Advanced Treatment Solutions and spoke to Jim who accepted my son into his practice . A therapist contacted us and spoke to my son . My son needed MATCH asap but was told he needed to speak to the Dr about those meds. The therapist contacted my son a 2nd time and my son again said he needs to speak to the Dr because he needed help ASAP with getting on the MATCH Program . After numerous phone messages left with no response and emails sent to the Dr. as well as Jim no response was given . Over 3 weeks lapsed and finally got a call from Dr Clark who did not even have

I cannot begin to tell you all how my life has changed since I met Jim Moutinho a few years back. I walked into his office feeling lost and with no purpose or will to do anything or be anyone’s and he completely made all the difference in my world . I now see light where there was only darkness and owe that all to him. He helped me cope with my anxiety/depression in a way that no one had in over 20 years of therapy. Jimmy and I were colleagues for over 15 yrs. He was always someone that I could go to when I needed assistance or advice. He has honed his skills over the years and I wouldn't hesitate to send someone his way if the situation arose. Liz is also a wonderful addition to his staff. I also worked with her for years and she proved to be and essential part of the workplace...someone that I would often count on when I really needed to get something done. I recently visited his new office space and was immediately struck by the professional and comfortable atmosphere.

Over the past 20 years I have worked at a number of office sites. Hands down, this is my favorite. Everyone who comes here comments on the beautiful design , soothing colors and general ambience. Drinks, snacks, coffee are available to all which is a nice touch I never saw anywhere else. Thank you Jim for creating this space which brings out the best in everyone.

Jim has provided me with supervision towards my LPC for about a year and a half. Not only has he helped me with my clinical skills, he has served as a mentor to me as a beginner in the field. I have known for over 10 years and served as his direct supervisor for most of those. Jim is a skilled clinician who is empathetic to the multitude of issues he has been confronted. He is comfortable in working with a diverse group of clients. He has a sense of humor and is able to incorporate appropriately in a clinical settingHe also a compassionate father and a skilled musician which adds to his well roundness. I have known Jimmy for close to three years in a professional capacity as he was my direct supervisor in a local substance abuse treatment program. During the time I worked with Jimmy he provided many clinical supervision hours towards my LPC. During supervision, Jimmy remained compassionate, patient, kind, insightful and empathetic throughout. Additionally, Jimmy is a keen listener. I highly recommend him as private therapist.
