Dr. David Abramowicz, is a second generation Veterinarian Practicing in So. St. Paul, Minnesota. He took over the Hospital from his father Dr. Henry Abramowicz upon graduation in the summer of 1990. Dr. Dave, as he is known to many of his clients, has enjoyed being a General Practitioner for the last twenty three years.

I went here to seek help for a 9 week old kitten that I was trying to surrender. I wanted her to go somewhere that would help her be seen by a professional because she was having severe seizures. The lady at the front desk suggested I seek help elsewhere. She said maybe the animal humane society could euthanize her for us. She never took one look at my kitten. She never even offered to give her medical help even if I couldn’t surrender her to this location. This place is adequate the prices are pretty good. Dr Dave isn't the most cordial person I've met but he's pretty honest. I wish they would replace the wall hook near the counter where you pay to tie leashes to and maybe even provide a bigger shelf for my little nine pound dog or a cat to be up at the pay window..

The "junior" vets are good, but I'm pretty sure Dr Abramowicz just doesn't like animals. He always seemed hassled and snaps at the vet techs; he looks annoyed when a dog does a normal dog thing, like point toward the exam room door because (news flash) dogs don't like going to the vet. He never looked at a file before we arrived. I stayed for a 2 or 3 annual appointments, but when it came to anything complex, there was a lot of pressure from Dr Abramowicz to do a super-invasive $5000 surgery. All the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and great with my pups. This vet is a diamond in the rough. The prices are very fair, Dr. Dave is a wonderful veterinarian And I drive 20 minutes to go to this vet. I went on a recommendation from someone else who has been very happy with Dr Dave and his team.

ZERO STARS. BEWARE.
My dog was treated here for her arthritic hips.
They prescribed meloxidyl.
They did not, however, provide me with proper follow up instructions or warn me of the possible life threatening side effects that could result in using this drug. No follow up visits with regard to this medication, nothing.
Thus resulting in the death of my beloved DoberDog.
I will never have her back in my arms again thanks to the lack of knowledge and care from this vet.
No excuses.

I took my very sick chicken there yesterday after my usual clinic told me they were booked up. I was very impressed the level of care that we received; the doctor took his time observing the sick chicken and came up with a plan for us to follow. He was interested more in helping us than trying to make extra charges to make money. Highly recommend them!
