Services
Southwest Florida Eye Care is a tri-ophthalmic practice providing eye care through the expertise, experience, dedication, honesty and caring of its ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, technicians and other support personnel. When it comes to something as critically important as your vision, experience counts.
Improvements in techniques and technology are ongoing in the medical field, especially in ophthalmology. The physicians of Southwest Florida Eye Care are committed to staying in the forefront of our industry. Our practice is frequently the first to bring the latest breakthroughs to our area, providing you with the most advanced, progressive and highest quality eye care available.
If you have ever undergone eye surgery, a trained ophthalmologist has done the work. Ophthalmology focuses on treating diseases and conditions that affect the anatomy and physiology of the eye. What this means is that an ophthalmologist takes care of both surgical procedures and medical care for the eye.
At Southwest Florida Eye Care, we strive to provide comprehensive, primary eye care for the whole family. Preventative and routine eye exams are important to maintaining good eye health. Often, eye and vision problems do not have obvious symptoms or signs, but are easily diagnosed by a licensed optometrist.
Glaucoma is an eye disease that causes damage to the optic nerve and can gradually rob you of your sight without warning or visible symptoms. The optic nerve is essential to good vision because it is the "cable" that carries to the brain the images we see. When this cable is damaged, vision is lost.

I took my client today for an appointment and since I step in, everything was negatives vibes. I will never come back to this place they don't know the word compassionate and don't do anything to help a person with special needs. Horrible people, not professionals, not empathy, they don't care about a person health or try solve any issues. They are black and white. They just simple DON'T CARE. Makes us to reschedule after waiting 2 months for the appointment.

I was having problems seeing in July. I called a number of places to be seen, but everyone had a 3-4 week wait. When I called Southwest Florida Eye Care, they could tell I needed to be seen that day. Dr Smolyar did my exam and told me I had cataract in both eyes and he could take care of it. He did just that. I can see again. His office is beautiful and extremely clean. The employees at his office are are great and feel at ease when I am there. If you are having problems with your eyesight, please call Dr Smolyar at Southwest Florida Eye Care.

Dr. Palmon and his tech Sally, as well as the receptionist Tammy, have all been wonderful to deal with. I received a very thorough eye exam here, and all of the staff have been nothing less than courteous, friendly, and utmost professionals. I couldn't be happier with my experience here!

Nice doctor but not good for if you’re busy. Come this place for my eye for 2-3 year ago, every time come 5-10 minute before the appointment time, but very sad thing is every time need wait about half hour and then the lady will call you. After call the lady do some check( about 10-15 minute) them wait maybe 10 minute for the doctor. Finish all that, talk with doctor 5 minute them complete.... most time need spend about 40 minute for just waiting.

I saw Dr. Allyson YEE on June 6th 2016 and she was extremely WONDERFUL with my Eye Issue. She took her time to explain my problem and answerd all my questions. She was very complete with my FULL EXAM. I will recommend this eye center to all who needs a GREAT DOCTOR. I MYSELF WILL GO BACK TO HER. I was very relieved by my diagnosis with her and the time she took with me. A WONDERFUL DOCTOR...THANK YOU DR. YEE !!
ALSO THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND VERY NICE AS WELL. OVERALL, SATISFACTION WAS WONDERFUL. THE CENTER AND DR. YEE ACTUALLY DESERVE MORE THAN 5 STARS IN MY OPINION.
