My name is Dr. Robert Mandelkorn. I have devoted my entire professional life to eye care, with a special focus on glaucoma. As an eye surgeon who is also an eye physician, I've written numerous articles for the top medical journals in the nation. I have also contributed to several books on glaucoma, including Secondary Glaucomas, Contemporary Issues in Ophtha lmology, and Clinical Pathways in Glaucoma.
I'm a member of the American Glaucoma Society and the American College of Surgeons, and I have been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. After moving to beautiful southwest Florida from in 2001, I created and administered an eye clinic for the Veterans Administration.

I visited Dr.Mandelkorn for my VA exams after ending my military contract in august 11. No other place would see me other than his office and I drove all the way from Miami, FL. He was a prior VA doctor and knows what to look for to best assist in finding things wrong with you and I came to him originally for my keratoconus diagnosis while I was serving. I had multiple pink eyes over my contract and they kept giving me allergy medicines which further caused damage etc, and nothing would work over many doctors from Japan all the way back to Virginia. He was super determined during my 5 hour exam
