Services
In 1998, Vinny and Pam Cirino opened Pier 1 in downtown North East, Maryland. They began wanting people who came through the door to be welcomed with a smile, laughter, and great food. Together with their children, they created a menu inspired by Vinny's childhood home in Ischia, Italy and the local tastes of the Chesapeake Bay.
The menu at Pier 1 reflects where we come from and where we live. Vinny opened Pier 1 with Homemade Italian favorites to compliment the amazing cuisine of the Chesapeake Bay, and let's face it, when Italy and the Chesapeake get together on food, good things happen! Whether you're in the mood for incredible Jumbo Lump Crabcakes, delicious Homemade Lasagna or tender Filet Mignon, you'll find what you crave at the Pier.

Stopped here for dinner at my wife's suggestion as she's been here before. Wasn't hugely hungry. I ordered a single crab platter with Cesar salad and fries. Joan ordered the blackened Rockfish with sweet potato fries. The crab cake was advertised as being a mix of fin and lump. No lumps were found. Cesar salad was sloppy and wet. Blackened Rockfish was excellent if maybe over spiced.

I really liked this casual restaurant. After not getting served next door we picked Pier 1 and it probably should have been choice #1. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. We had crab cake bites and crab dip which was served in a bread bowl. It tasted like fresh bread and fresh crab. The atmosphere is definitely nothing fancy but the people and food were great!

This is a traditional small town restaurant with a menu filled of home cooked meals. They have a wide variety of dish selections. They have indoor or outdoor seating. The restaurant is on the smaller side as the dining space is seperated into multiple sections. Tables are a little close together. It is a family owned and operated business. I have eaten here more times than I can count and I have never had a meal which is not delicious! The staff are all friendly and work nice together, your table is never neglected. Highly recommend if you are ever in North East.

We just left $55 for eating absolutely nothing at this restaurant. First time in my life this has happened. Food without seasoning, looking bad, dirty and broken dishes. The lady who serves the drinks was extremely kind and attentive, the Lady who serves the food, served us well but didn't bother to know that we didn't like the food. We went to the restaurant because of the good reviews, and we didn't understand why. We will certainly not return.

Woody's had a 45-minute wait, so we decided to try Pier 1 (based on a 4-star Yelp rating) and we were seated right away, which was the highlight of our experience. The table still had some crumbs on it from the previous guests. Our meals were rather basic -- cheese ravioli and chicken parm sandwich -- but both were bland. The sauce on the ravioli was very watery. While we visited only because we were passing through, we wouldn't visit again if we were local.

FOR THE WIN. Simple, normal, but excellent food, prepared and served by a polite, friendly and genuine staff and crew. This place is O.G. Local. And that's the honest truth.
FIND IT
just as you enter the heart of downtown, on the right side. Park street side, or in the lot nearby.
These times of COVID are really difficult. And our favorite and dear diner restaurants and the staff that support us are struggling to survive. What a pleasant surprise to FIND THIS LOCAL GEM among the eateries of North East.
+++ crab cake. Teeming with crab, moist and flavorful.
+ twice-baked potato feels

Ate underneath outside tent. Food is reasonably priced, and pretty good. Our waitress only came by one time once we got our food, which was a little frustrating. The seafood was good. My party got the crabcake platter, a kids spaghetti ($4), fried scallops, and I got the coconut shrimp. Everything was fried super crispy, which was yummy. We also enjoyed the pretzel crab appetizer. Overall a 7/10, but wish the service was better.

We have been looking for some really good fish and chips in North East for a while. Most places in town only have frozen fish which is a little surprising since they are steak and seafood restaurants. Today my husband stopped in here and they had hand battered fish that was delicious!!! We do go here often and the food is really good. If your looking for good fish and chips in North East GO HERE!!!

This place was a good pick. Our waitress was so awesome. She treated my grandson like he was her own. She went over the top to serve us! The food was excellent and they offered complimentary warm bread and butter. Food was all hot! Price was right not to much. Excellent selection of food too. Next time to East Maryland we will definitely be back! Bathroom was also really clean.

Very unimpressed. Home fries looked good but were completely flavorless. I had to douse them in ketchup to eat them. The bacon and the pancakes were very good. The restaurant inside looks like the owners and employees just stopped caring. The bathroom was gross and the place desperately needed a good cleaning and a little spruce up. On the plus side, they do have outside seating which was nice, and it looks like you are allowed to bring your dog into the outside seating area. There are very few options for breakfast in the area. I might be willing to try it again for lunch or dinner if I wanted

We ordered the double crab cakes with potato salad and sautéed zucchini to share (we just had appetizers elsewhere), and it was just the right amount of food (we don't like massive portions). When the waitress asked if we wanted our crab cakes broiled or fried, we weren't sure as we'd never had a crab cake broiled, but she let us order one of each to sample and compare (both were tasty).
We seemed to have two waitresses and were confused whom to ask what. One took our drink order and when I asked what teas they had, she didn't know, just said they had a variety. I didn&apos

As self described in the history on the back of the menu, Pier 1 is a family run restaurant with the goal of serving good food in a family friendly environment. They hit that mark and I'll add at a reasonable price. It was recommended to us by a fellow boater as the best place in North East MD for breakfast and I must agree there also. The food was great, menu full and service "informal" and friendly. We will surely be back - often.

2 words... Crab cake! It's my favorite place to go for crab cakes. You can never go wrong. You can get one or two. I always opt for the 2, eat one and take one home. Pier one has an extensive menu, which is a little overwhelming when your hungry. Everything looks good.
Never had to wait to be seated. Staff is always friendly and great food.

I went here after looking at the extensive menu online not knowing what to expect. I was expecting a fancier restaurant. The inside had an old diner feel and nothing was fancy. Plain tables and chairs with tacky seashore decorations everywhere.
The food was priced decent. They added mixed drinks to their menu and now serve beer, wine, and very good mixed drinks. All the food I had was very good. The servers were fine. It is a family friendly place but mostly full of old locals.
The only turn off and it was kind of shocking, but they only have one unisex restroom. Kind of unusal these days.

Ate breakfast here on our way home from a weekend of camping at Elk Neck state park. Glad we made reservations for our table of 7. Although we arrived early, our table was ready even though the place was very busy.
Food was great value - inexpensive and perfect sized portions. Our service was also very good and we got frequent coffee refills and checked on several times.
This might become part of our weekend camping tradition! We will return again.
