Normal procedure for removing gel polish was not followed. Was instructed to soak my hands in plastic bag of solution with cotton at the bottom. This left my entire hand very dry, rough and peeling. I was not offered a discount or any compensation after voicing my displeasure and concerns. I’m out of pockets buying restorative hand creams and other treatments to restore my hands. It’s more than a month later and I’m still dealing with this issue. I may need to see a dermatologist. I’m very unhappy with the services I’ve received and I will never go back. They’ve just lost a long term

First time here. I was turned off with the $2.00 sur charge for credit cards. Schellac is starting $40. Price is on the high end. Bummed to not be offered a drink or something refreshing. I wanted three colors, but would have been an extra $5, for one nail to be another color. Lots of little charges that will add up. End product was great, but the experience was definitely just an in and out place. You are not paying for an experience. I'll return to my regular nail place. If you are at the mall shopping and want to quick nail experience then this is your place. It's just lacking

Went in to get my nails done for homecoming. I asked for simple black gel coffin nails, she did not even shape them nor do gel polish but instead did powder. She did my nails very recklessly, got nail glue all over my fingers and the black acrylic powder all over as well. I would not recommend this place, can't believe i paid 60 for a chunky black mess.

I have been coming here for years to see Teresa. And she always always does an amazing job on my nails. She's always smiling and friendly and makes me feel welcome.
My mom has recently started to come with me and see Helen and Helen always does a good job on her nails and making her feel welcome and comfortable as well. Definitely recommend this place. 🙂

This place is so expensive for fills, she did such a horrible job over lapping the polish with my cuticles! Horrible job I'm sorry I usually give credit to the ones that do a great job. Will not pretend this place is good I will never go back! Still gave a tip on top of the horrible job. Lesson learned will stick to my usual place didn't feel like driving so far, but won't think twice next time!

Great service here. The woman who did my pedicure was so sweet and patient with me. I was indecisive. My toes came out beautifully and my feet feel soooooooo good. The woman who did my full set was not so nice. She wasn't mean either. She was just in a hurry and I felt pressured by her. She hardly spoke to me and pushed my hands aside instead of communicating to me to move my hand. But my nails came out great and I left a satisfied customer. Which is why I gave them 5 stars. I will be going back and I would recommend.

It's been many years since I have been to the North Star Mall Avalon Nail Salon. As I recall La Cantera was much better but that was many years ago as well. I came here on 2/20/21 @ 2:30 not too busy but I sat for like 5-7mins when there we people not working. Which is weird because no one else that came had to wait. I came in for a simple gel French manicure something so simple... so I tell the girl I want my natural round shape and she barely even filled my nails but buffed the hell out of them as if I needed it? Showed up to get a shellac manicure and one of the nail technicians began arguing with me about my nails being acrylic vice shellac. At that point I asked for different nail tech, the Manager came and then handed me off a short woman named Nancy. Well! She was no better. My nail was slanted and extremely thick, the nail polish was not to the cuticle or on the side of the nail. She didn't ask which shape I wanted, just did her own thing until I stopped her. I will never go back to this place again. $50 wasted.

Was passing by and needed a Pedicure. The lady that took care of me was very pleasant and nice. She took care of my feet well. Covid precautions were taken. My only suggestion is to sit a client every other pedi chair for social distancing. There were plenty of chairs available to make this happen. It's a suggestion that will go a long way. I understand when it's busy it may not be possible. However it definitely would be good to see the extra step taken.

Went with my best friend to get pedicures, we LOVED it. Nancy & Nora were gentle, nice, very attentive. The sea salt scrub was phenomenal. Will definitely come back at least once a month !!!!

Had another pedicure yesterday with Tiffany & it was lovely as well.
Got a full set with Yvonne & she was great! Loved the almond shape, she's pretty fast too.

This place is usually really busy but I ended up there on a Saturday night since it's the only nail salon open past 7 that I know of. Cindy gave me a pedicure and a dip + acrylic tips because my nails were so short. I told her I wanted something oval and natural. She was so sweet and made sure she understood what I wanted. Then she made sure I liked my nails. I appreciated that she was attentive, a lot of nail salons just try to rush you in and out quickly. She was wonderful and my nails looked perfect. She gave me exactly what I asked for and you can tell she is very skilled in her craft
