For more than 45 years, we have been providing care to seniors across Southern Arizona. Focused on building strong relationships between older adults and their families, Devon Gables actively seeks to understand our residents' needs. Our comfortable rooms, beautiful desert surroundings, courteous service and outstanding personnel will help you feel at home.

We believe that family involvement is a crucial factor in a residents' well-being. Working directly with the client and their family, we design a plan of care and are able to provide many services and amenities all on one campus. As a result, we provide more than nursing care services and support - we give each resident comfort and hope.
Services
Our Goal - To support each resident's physical, intellectual, cultural, spiritual and emotional potential and well-being. Across the United States, new models are emerging that aim to transform the organization of nursing home care. They share the common goals of moving toward more "person-centered" or "resident-directed" care.
Devon Gables Rehabilitation Center was founded in 1964 and is a family owned-and-operated, 312-bed skilled nursing community, serving the residents of Tucson and Southern Arizona with high- quality short- and long-term care. Devon Gables provides a home-like environment with a professional staff which provides personalized and compassionate care around-the-clock, seven days a week.
We understand the importance of well-balanced meals to our residents. Our registered dietitian prepares a variety of dining options, including low-sodium, diabetic or low- fat (when ordered by the attending physician.) We serve candle light dinner every other Monday, on these evening our residents enjoy a fine dining experience.
A few things to consider as you transition from the hospital to a skilled nursing facility. Generally speaking, a skilled nursing facility is a clinical care provider of 24-hour licensed nursing. A "SNF, " as they are often referred to, is primarily engaged in providing services for residents who require medical or nursing care and/or therapy services for the rehabilitation of injured, disabled, or sick persons.
At Devon Gables, we believe rehabilitation is the Number One tool in your arsenal on your path to wellness. Our trained, certified rehab staff works with our residents on a one-to-one basis. We assess each resident's needs and develop an individualized rehab plan, designed to achieve quantifiable, realistic results.

Bullet points :
1) more staffing on the weekends.
2,) update the rooms and lobby area.
3) keep patients bathrooms stocked with toliet supplies ie toliet paper ,paper towels etc.
4,) educate STAFF on decision making having a nurse tell me she did not know why my MOM's sodium levels were low was not an acceptable answer or the decision to admit her to a hospital knowing I am 600miles away not able to drive immediately to provide guidance.
5) provide hot meals when meals that are suppose to be hot when served.
6)Discharge date, dirty, smelly,no underclothes.. could not take her to lunch as planned

My sister was at Devon Gables for a little over a month due to the amputation of one of her legs. This is a top notch facility! Everyone from Administration to the nurses and techs were so kind to her and helped in any way they could. They were also very responsive to me when I called. Most outstanding were the Physical and Occupational therapists! They worked with her a few times a day and she regained so much strength. They also taught her how to transition from one surface to another safely. Even the food was excellent. My sister and I are very grateful for all of the fantastic care she got

***WARNING*** Please do not leave your loved one in the hands of this facility and staff. My poor mom has been a patient here since June 2020, she has had ongoing UTI's, no one in this facility has any type of communication skills, when I call I'm transferred constantly for like 45 min to an hour and no one seems to be able to get me to the correct location, my mom says that she fell and has a big bruise because she was left unattended for such a long time. I've spoken to upper management, Kendra and Rhiannon no help at all, I really could go on and on and on. Sad to see that our loved ones are

I know that it is so easy to complain that food not great, staff not fast enough. I would like to say I have had my father in law, mother in law, and now my son at Devon Gables. My father in law was able to return home, after a horrible lung infection because of the staff. He liked the food. My mother in law, was able to return home after a fractured hip for her 90th birthday. She continues 18 months later to live independently in her home. The Nurse’s care and Therapist’s care is the reason why. My son went there with a horrific injury and wound after two weeks in a hospital. Providers recognized

I have been to afew rehab centers in tucson due to an amputation. Currently, I have spent time at Devon Gables. I was surprised and absolutely delighted at the care I have received. Most of all, the staff is very caring and attentive. They are quick with a smile and just as quick to pursue a concern. The staff as a whole has a wonderful attitude.
My room is very comfortable. I find the staff to be very accommodating. Overall, the food is quite good and well balanced. Housekeeping is provided daily. The physical and occupational therapists are just wonderful. They are so helpful and encouraging

Honestly, if I could give this zero stars, I would. This place is a waiting room to die. My grandmother is currently in the facility and suffers from reoccurring UTI’s. We can always tell when she has one because she starts hallucinating and just generally makes no sense when you talk to her. When we inform the nurses, they do everything in their power to NOT check her for a UTI.... make excuses for her behavior...”it’s just part of her decline” etc. And now they have a “new rule” that there has to be 3 criteria to check her for a UTI!! What?!? It is not a hard thing to do and they

If you’re looking for a place that will encourage healing and will be supportive of both patient and family, I’d look elsewhere. My great grandmother was here for rehab after surgery to repair a broken hip after she suffered a fall. Her room had mold growing on the ceiling, nurses straight up don’t respond to her calls, and I was even told that a nurse handled her in a rough way, and slammed her room door on her way out. My grandma is making big progress, so I’m giving it two stars instead of one, but honestly we aren’t big fans of this facility.

Was patient there and felt traumatized by the whole experience. Call bells answered when staff felt like it. Food was mostly inedible. Shower area was ridiculously small, often not you didnt get clean. I was there for rehab and it was a joke. There was inadequate equipment for getting someone back on their feet. One of the therapist was like 350 lbs. You only had 30 minutes therapy and if you weren't ready then you didn't get it that day.

My mother was at this facility and my family and I are very upset with the service she received. My mother was there to receive physical therapy after suffering from a UTI and seizures. She was there one day and was fine. The morning after, we arrived and she was sitting down and seemed out of sorts. She soon began to tell us that she had fallen. Very concerned we checked and sure enough she had many bruises starting from her head near her temple all the way down to her legs. What was even more surprising was that when we asked no one knew that she had fallen. In the state that she was in there

Food is marginal, nurses come when they want, not immediately. My mother was dirty from no shower on the day I picked her up. She left with a UTI, which landed her back in the ER shortly thereafter once it was discovered. Shay is a great nurse tho. Accounting dept. does not return telephone call to messages left, and said they would work on a payment system for my Mother and did not. My Mother had several incontinence "accidents" waiting for someone to come assist her once she pressed the button. Hallways smell terrible, not very clean. Good luck.
