We value the child as a whole person and seek to promote all aspects of his or her growth. At the Community Preschool of the Palisades, we strive to foster children's creativity, build their confidence, and instill a love of learning among each child.
We offer a variety of age-based classes to meet the varying needs of our preschoolers, as well as morning and afternoon enrichment and Summer Camp. For more than 30 years, the preschool has been a central part of the Palisades and neighboring communities.

Services
The Community Preschool of the Palisades was founded in 1986, originally as part of the ministry of the Palisades Community Church. Palisades Preschool now operates as an independent, not-for-profit entity, and remains dedicated to providing high quality education for our children in a caring environment.
The Community Preschool of the Palisades offers a number of specific classes for different age groups. Review our class options here. Upon completing a tour, applications should be submitted via this website. Please include the required $75.00 application fee. Applications are still currently being accepted for the 2021-2022 school year, however, please contact the school first to see if space remains in your preferred class.
Our youngest learners (at least 2 years old on the first day of class) are introduced to a moderately structured routine in a caring, nurturing, play-based environment that offers children a stimulating curriculum and social setting. Two teachers lead the Tadpole class from 9:00 am-12:00 pm with 2 day (Tuesday/Thursday), 3 day (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) or 5 day options (Monday through Friday).
All types of learning takes place in Enrichment, but the primary focus of the program is to facilitate the social emotional development of children. During Enrichment, children have the opportunity to work in a smaller group setting to enjoy additional playtime with peers, story time, arts and crafts and outdoor play on our expansive playground.
The Community Preschool of the Palisades has substitute teaching positions available for the school year. Preference will be shown to applicants with experience in the area of early childhood education, but applicants with experience in a related field are strongly encouraged to apply. Phenomenal Preschool. Dedicated, longtime teachers focus on the child's social-emotional growth and preparedness to learn cooperatively through safe exploration. This wonderful preschool is small, it builds a child's confidence and establishes the notion that learning is positive, fun and interesting. My child and I both treasure our time at The Community Preschool of the Palisades.

Both of my children attended this wonderful preschool. The Community Preschool of the Palisades is a gem - a nurturing, caring place for little people to learn, socialize, and have fun in a play based environment. Our kids made friends who will be life long friends and grew into children who were well prepared for kindergarten and first grade.
