I made an appointment here to see if I was qualified for Lasik eye surgery. Now that I'm getting older, I'm finding it harder and harder to see clearly, so I was curious to see if I did qualify and what the cost would be. Unfortunately I didn't qualify, but then found out that the screening was free. I was expecting to pay out of pocket for at least a copay for the screening.

The staff here were all very pleasant. Checked me in and updated any information since I went for a visit previously last year for an issue I had with a stuck fake eyelash behind my eyeball. Yes my eyeball

This is a poor review and this is why.
The office called to remind me of my appointment and asked why I hadn't done the questionnaire they emailed. None sent. They resent it 30mins before my app. Upon arrival for appointment, I waited 45mins to see the doctor! I asked how much longer and oops, I had been over looked!

I was considered legally blind and life was extremely challenging if I didn't wear my contacts or glasses. My glasses were so thick, that even when I had the polycarbonate, I couldn't wear them for more than a couple of hours before getting painful grooves on my nose and a headache from the pressure on my ears. As a doctor, I also knew that if anything went wrong, I would lose what little sight I had left and would no longer be able to practice medicine without serious accommodations.

Finally decided to make lasik a top priority and after careful research it became quite apparent that getting it done at Jenkins eye care was the only choice. Knowing that Dr. Jenkins is a pioneer in the field, nationally recognized as one of the top cataract and lasik surgeons in the country really gave me a piece of mind. Aloha, Dr. Jenkin's did my Lasik 24 years ago, still going strong with my far-sided corrected vision. Recently returned due to floaties (ugh, found out comes with age). And again with irritated itchy eyes (I decided to stop the lash extensions after 6 years) as I developed a slight allergy. This is a long overdue review, specifically for Dr. Peterson. Dr. Peterson helped me immensely with my eye allergies that were misdiagnosed and lingering for far too long.

After getting misdiagnosed with conjunctivitis and prescribed something very strong and very useless, the pain and itching in my eyes persisted so badly that I was waking up in the middle of the night rubbing my eyes on a regular basis. I ended up visiting urgent care, where the doctor was mystified, but he referred me to Jenkins Eye Care.

I have had 20/400 vision for as long as I can remember. From age 5 to 71 my vision has been a challenge. I've had "coke bottle " lens; hard contacts; soft contacts; disposable contacts and numerous glasses and yet my vision was lacking and I suffered in silence while others told me how beautiful the world was.

I met Dr. Jenkins about 12 years ago. She, during a check up, noticed that I had a small detachment of my retina. She set up an appointment with a specialist who took care of that problem. Since that time I've consulted with Dr. Jenkins several times about my eyes.

Wish I got this done sooner! I remember years ago, I wanted to get Lasik and kept putting it off.

I finally did it, and gladly to say that Dr Jenkins has been doing this for years!!!!!!!!! So you can definitely trust her and her staff.

I made an appointment for a consultation. At my consultation, they checked and rechecked and rechecked my eyes. After they said that I qualify to get Lasik done, they provided me with a quote and I set my appointment date!

Dr. Jenkins and her team are so great! My vision was pretty bad (-7.50 for my contacts) and have had glasses since I was in the 2nd grade!! I was told that I wouldn't be a good candidate and that too much work would be needed. But my mother-in-law did her lasik with Dr. Jenkins so I decided to just try and have a consult. After my consult I was so excited to hear I could do it. Between dr. Jenkins and Dr. Ueda they put me at ease with all my questions and concerns with my astigmatism and potential changing of my vision in the future. 5 weeks out and need to temporarily wear glasses to correct undercorrection. Have to wait another 2 months before second lasik surgery to correct eye sight. Not comfortable with doing another surgery.
Just over two weeks out, undercorrected my left eye.

I cannot believe how disappointed I am..after a month things started going really wrong, so wrong that my eyes are worse than before the surgery and how they refuse to see you ( when my optometrist says they should)and their receptionist gets to deliver that blow...shame on your doctors but this.

From beginning to end the experience was awesome! Dr. Jenkins and staff made sure all my questions were answered and assured me everything was going to be ok. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get Lasik surgury! Also, thanks for the parting gifts! Aloha!

I was referred to Jenkins Eye Care for an issue by my general eye doctor. I was unhappy with my initial appointment, which was rewarded by an even worse second one.

Like many doctors, you spend more time waiting for the doctor than actually talking to them (not including dilation time). Specifically I saw Dr. Peterson and have nothing negative to say about him: he explained what they were looking for, what to look for in the future, and that he believed there was nothing to worry about.

My issues here are with the nurses and desk staff. The waiting area and facility is clean, beautiful, and comfortable

I had Lasik surgery done and immediately I can see again. I’m amazed at how quick and efficient everything went! Dr. Jenkins and her team is amazing! I highly, highly, highly recommend.

This place is really nice and modern. There's coffee and tea if you want. I didn't have to wait long to be seen. Everyone was nice and they validated my parking for the entire time I was there so I didn't have to pay a dime for parking. Yay!

Dr Jenkins is nice and professional, as is her staff. It has a very "homey" feel to it but like a modern home feel. I get to drink coffee as they look into my eyes.

Every part of the LASIK process from consultation to surgery was an easy and great experience. I felt very well taken care of throughout the whole process. When something isn't right with your eye(s), everything seems darker. My usual annual visit with Dr. Ng has recently been replaced with more urgent visits with Dr. Peterson (Dr. Ng has moved). My only issue is with my newly, sometimes angry eyes. Dr. Peterson is straightforward and has always been on-point in the diagnosis and treatment of my ocular afflictions. All of my somewhat hypochondriacal questions are answered honestly, thoughtfully, and without any note of sarcasm. Haha. Dr. Jenkins is amazing! She's caring, professional, and takes time to answer all of my questions. I did a lot of research on Lasik and PRK prior to getting it done. I went to three consultations before choosing Dr. Jenkins.

It was great to meet Dr. Jenkins on my consultation visit. I felt perfectly comfortable with her and she answered all of my questions. Her staff are friendly and are always happy. I would gladly do it again! It's been amazing not having to wear glasses.

Davina was very professional and helpful guiding me through the process including financing options. The doctors were all very sincere & professional. Answered all my questions & the info they give you covers all of the bases.
