Dr. Taylor Tom is a graduate of the University of California-Berkeley. He is the son of Dr. Dewey Tom and has been in private practice for 10 years. Dr. Taylor is married to his wife, Carol, and they have two daughters, Logan and Mia. When he's not working or running around to his daughters various activities he loves spending time and relaxing with the family out in Kaneohe Bay.

And they STILL offer the best service I've ever experienced! I moved to the Leeward side a few years ago and thought I might have to change Optometrists to avoid the distance but Dr. Taylor is always taking care of me. Dr. Taylor is always going out of his way to ensure that everything is covered and good. Even if there is a discrepancy with my insurance, he'll always have my back. Now that's how you breed customer loyalty.

I believe if you pay something then you better use it. That is what partly motivates me to go work out at the gym LOL. I figure I take advantage of my insurance end of the year. I have heard the book up fast bc they are that great.
Upon arrival, i notice parking is a little modest so glad I had one of the early appointments when they open so parking was not a hassle. I was checked in by the son Dr. Tom and he was the most encouraging guy I have met in this field who reinforced every thing with an adjective of doing well on how to stay still to run the optical exam through their digital/computer

Best eye doctors ever!! With all their knowledge equipment and technology they were able to detect an abnormality in my eye that needed surgery right away, AND PREVENTED ME FROM GOING BLIND!!! I'm very thankful for both Dr. Tom's.

The staff and doctors here are very friendly and professional. They will provide you the best service and you will be able to find what you are looking for. I having been wearing glasses for years and this is the best optometrist I have ever been to! Both Dr. Taylor Tom and Dr. Dewey Tom were exceptional. So patient, so efficient and so accommodating. I got prescription sunglasses for driving with bifocal lens for reading at the beach and they are wonderful. I am not sure how I ever lived without them!

Drs. Dewey and Taylor Tom are the best optometrist on the windward side of Oahu. They both make you feel comfortable and get to remember your name too. It's always a pleasant experience to get my eyes checked and look forward every year of a follow up. Oh, the receptionist she is awesome too. Anyways let's just say I LOVE THIS PLACE! I've been coming to Taylor and Dewey Tom (father and son business) since I was a little girl! They are amazing!! They are the best eye doctors on the island! No doubt :)
Taylor and Dewey make you feel right at home. They are the sweetest! Their assistants are amazing as well and been with the company for as long as I've known them :)

Parking can be tough on the top floor seeing that stalls are quite tight and your going to see an eye doctor lol
It's best to use the floor Parking ( below the parking structure outside of the office), the entrances to that is a few yards down from where the office is located.
It's a cozy small office and has a very family feel because it's a bit 'laxed in comparison to clinics like Kaiser or Castle ( not speaking of environment appearance ).
I was met by Dr. Dewey first. Quick examination however VERY thorough. He's old school

It has been 3 years since we moved to the Windward side of the island, but for some reason I have been busting my butt to get on the H3 to go to our previous eye doctor. (And one of the office ladies at that office was just a straight up GRUMP.) So, on a recommendation of a friend, I decided to call Tom Eye Care. I am so glad that I did!
My Munchkin does a lot of activities! She has glasses, so she finally broke down and asked for contacts. She had tried contacts, but for some reason one side always popped out. So she just gave up. Well, I explained this to the staff at Dr. Tom's office

Dr. Dewy and his son Taylor have been my family eye care professionals for over 15 years. They have always treated me and anyone I've recommended them to as family. I called Monday to schedule an appt for my 2 kids and myself and was able to be seen the next day. We were greeted with smiles and warm welcomes from everyone that worked there. This was our first visit and definitely not our last. Both doctors worked with us and made us feel like we've known them forever. This is a family owned business and they definitely treat everyone like family. At the end of our appt they recommended glasses and offered a discount if we got it with them. I asked for the prescription with no push back.

This place is the best Optometrist I have ever been to. Easy to schedule appointments and the doctor gets started with you right away. They explain everything very well and keep you at ease with their professional, yet relaxed manner. I have already purchased 2 sets of glasses from here and will continue to be a loyal customer for life!

Both Dr. Tom's are just the best. Hands down. Not only are they professional and extremely knowledgable of their fields, they are personable and very friendly. I've known their family for years and I've never caught them without a smile on their faces.
