1977 - Dan and Sandy Thornton along with Sandy's son Michael Beckman, Jeweler/Designer, open Dan T's Custom Jewelers in Woodland's Shade Tree Plaza Shopping Center. 1989 - Dan T's Custom Jeweles moves to the new Raley's Westgate Shopping Center where Starbucks now stands. 2003 - Dan T's Custom Jewelers relocates to its current location, just steps away from its former spot, in the Raley's Westgate Shopping Center.
2011 - A few changes are in the works for Dan T's! New Jewelry Events are planned to show our Customer Appreciation and to allow viewing of other lines that are not usually available in our area. 2012 - What started out as a date in the store turned into a line of jewelry. Cindy was curious about Michael's process in jewelry-making and quickly, the two of them started flowing with ideas.

Dan T's Custom Jewelers is proud to be a retailer for these exceptional designers. Their attention to detail and internationally renowned craftsmanship are a welcome addition to the merchandise sold in our three stores. Jewelry is one of the oldest forms of body adornment; recently-found 100,000-year-old-beads made from Nassarius shells are thought to be the oldest known jewelry.

I've been in here several times throughout the years and I'm always disappointed and have never ended up spending money here. I went in today to ask about getting a ring sized up 1/4 of a size. They told me it would take 2 weeks!!! What? I'm not leaving my ring anywhere for 2 weeks. There is an overall sense of "I don't care" from the staff. I have friends who swear by this place but I am not impressed at all. I feel more welcome when I walk into the Starbucks to spend $4 than when I walk in here expecting to spend a lot more.

Amazing customer service! Took a very tarnished Pandora bracelet full of charms into this local store... they cleaned and polished it while I waited AND gave me a polishing tissue to continue to polish! Plus instructions on how to maintain it! FREE!!! What? My next jewelry purchase will be from this store!

Just had my first experience here, was looking for a Christmas gift so I decided to stop in. Kat gave excellent service and was VERY knowledgeable, and most importantly once I gave her my price range she was very respectful and did her best to only show me items within my budget, and I say she tried her best because I kept asking about items outside of my pre-set budget I will definitely be back for all of my future jewelry purchases

Went in looking to get a quote for sizing two wedding bands. After a very awkward (and somewhat condescending) interaction with the saleswoman I was given a quote for my fiancé's ring but told that they would have to keep my ring for up to a week (?!?) to appraise it. We had been shopping around already so experience and common sense told us this was weird. In addition to the off-putting customer service and this appraisal practice that wastes everyone's time, their prices are high, the selection is poor, the store is outdated and it smells like a nail salon. There are MUCH better jewelers

Dan T's has been fabulous for us! We brough in a beloved watch that we were sure we killed, but they examined it and tested it and determined it was the battery & a gasket. Charged next to nothing!
Then, I brought in my antique weddding ring, which lost a diamond. No problem, they replaced the small stone, replaced 4 tips, cleaned and polished the ring, all for under $150. They really understand how sentimental your items are to you and treat them with care. I haven't purchased jewelry from them, but I highly recommend Dan T's for repair and custom work, they're fantastic

We came here looking for matching wedding bands. The salesperson seemed interested in showing us only the most expensive pieces. When we told her we wanted something simple, she seemed to loose interest in selling us anything, and she showed us some catalogs. The selection was very poor and she was not sure about the prices. We didn't buy anything.

Excellent selection and custom work. They custom designed and made my wife and my wedding rings. We couldn't be happier with the work they did. If you want quality, this is the only place in town where the custom made jewelery looks outstanding. This is the type of jewelery store you would expect to find in San Francisco. Truly artisanal pieces.
