SLO Recovery Center
Over half of all American adults have a family history of problem drinking or alcohol addiction. Heroin use has risen in most demographic groups in the United States over the past 2 decades. The highest at-risk population for heroin addiction is non-Hispanic white males between the ages of 18 and 25.

65% of the 2.3 million people in American prisons and jails meet the criteria for addiction. I'm going to start with the good news first! Our son has 3 1/2 years clean from a heroin/meth addiction! SLO Recovery Center was a HUGE support not only for our son but for my husband and me as well. There was always a shoulder to cry on and tough love advice for us and a safe place for our son to live and be supported along his road to recovery.
Services
We have assembled an unrivaled team of counselors, therapeutic and administrative professionals. Together, we bring decades of experience in connecting people with real solutions and lasting change. We are more than just clinicians, counselors, and mentors. We are driven by a fundamental belief that change is available to anyone who wants it and is willing to work for it.
The uneven square around the letters in our logo represents a set of doors leading the way to recovery. The openings on each side are placed with different spacing, representing separate doors - the one door they walk through when they enter recovery, and other they walk through into a new life. We are the space between those two doors.
By providing patient-centered care and focusing on the individual needs for treatment, services, and therapeutic interventions we have the ability to best serve every individual. At SLO Recovery Center we recognize that drug addiction and alcoholism is a complex disease that requires a comprehensive and unique approach for every person.
SLO Recovery Center developed our Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program to provide comprehensive, compassionate outpatient treatment to those with mental health diagnoses and co-occurring disorders. The program is available to all adults recovering from mental health or substance abuse issues who need a supportive, empathetic environment.

Terrible. My daughter went here for all of three days. I paid $500 for our deductible. 11 months later I get a letter demanding we pay another $200 in outstanding balance within 15 days. They did not attempt to contact us before this time. I told them she had just lost her home due the house being demolished. No care at all. Sent it to collections. Horrible behavior from a center that is supposedly supporting people recover from addiction. Ruining my daughters credit over $200.

Slo is a great place to be sober and learn who u really are. It took me 31 years SLO and a 6 month inpatient stay to really figure out sobriety. I give FOUR stars because getting sober sucks but at the same time it's the the greatest journey in the 🌎.

Love the fact that the groups are basically self ran. Gets me super engaged and it makes me happy knowing that I help other people in their recovery. All of the workers at the facility definitely earned their positions and have definitely earned my love and respect. I would recommend SLO to ANYONE struggling with addiction.

This place gave an assessment that they should have known they could n do since they were not located in the county of the DUII. Then they set up a treatment plan and we have $1250 deposit for treatment. Then we did not hear back from them again. Finally when we found out they charged our insurance $650 for an assessment they stated costs $200 we contacted them to inform them that we had to do the assessment AGAIN with a center in the county of the DUII. And that we would not be going to them for treatment after all (mind you it has been over a month and a half since the treatment plan was made

I have enjoyed SLO a lot! The counseling is great and the groups are always very interesting. I appreciate that there is a mental health group as well. SLO has helped save my life. The sober living house is spacious and comfortable. I think my favorite part about SLO, however, is the community here. The amount of support and love I have gotten since I got here is incomparable.

Placing a family member into a treatment center is absolutely terrifying. The staff and clinicians at SLO Recovery, made the transition for my family member seamless. The team at SLO Recovery was compassionate and knowledgeable. They were available for any questions that our family had and also coached us on healthy boundaries while in treatment as well as aftercare options. I would highly recommend SLO Recovery. They saved our lives!

Thank you for setting up the Education of Addiction & Family Systems open workshop earlier this month. The program was well organized and Serena did an excellent job of guiding the group through very important topics during the seminar. We were given a better understanding on the disease of addiction and how to be a more effective part of the recovery process for our loved one.

Our sober house for women is all ages and ethnicity. This terrific group of women collectively manage
living together, sharing, and supporting each other. Our house is spotless clean, and we have created
a happy serene peaceful home that all the women can call home. I would highly recommend SLO to anyone reaching out for recovery.

I have lived through 24 years active addiction. I have been to 18 treatment centers during that time. When in treatment I always felt as though I was nothing more than dollar signs to the company. That is until I found SLO. SLO treats their clients like family. I was worked with on an individual level and my personal needs integrated into my treatment plan. The staff went above and beyond what is required of them to ensure that I had every opportunity to succeed at recovery. Many of the staff members know from personal experience the struggles that we must face to obtain and kept recovery. I made

SLO saved my life. I've been to countless treatment centers and every other one was always just about the money. The staff at SLO actually care about you and your success in your recovery. The counselors are great. I have never been able to open up to therapists until I came here. I have been at SLO for about 4 months and even though I was struggling bad all the staff has gone above and beyond to help me get back on track and I honestly am amazed. No other treatment center would've done this for me. If you really want to get clean, I absolutely recommend this place.
