Rope Yoga Collective
Jane and Jenny stretch with the ropes. The ropes are used as your friends, to help you balance while building strength and flexibility. Now that we are virtual, we have substituted a chair and a dora (or dishtowel) for the ropes. Jane Allen walked into her first RussaYog class in 2008, out of shape and with very inflexible, unable to even touch her toes.

She completed the teacher training in 2009 and has taught regularly since then. Jane is thrilled to continue her practice of RussaYog with The Rope Yoga Collective. These classes and the wonderful yogis that faithfully attend have truly enriched her life beyond her wildest dreams.

This is a different yoga experience. Using the ropes helps me do poses that I might not be able to do. The teaching style is also very appealing with step-by-step positioning instructions. Classes are small, pricing moderate, and the location is ideal!

I went to my first ever rope yoga class here last week. I am recovering from hip surgery about 6 months ago and limited on the kinds of activity I can do. I was able to do the class without difficulty. The ropes add a lot of stability and upper body strength challenge. This class would also be good for older people with less stable balance. The instructor was very kind and I felt at home right away. There was homemade chai tea afterwards! I will be going back this weekend.

Love this place. Have been going for over ten years. Casual yoga instruction using ropes to help with balance and to use upper body strength which you don't get with traditional yoga. Community feel with chai offered after every class. Different instructors have different styles so it's good to try them all out before you make a decision. Also, best yoga deal in town.
