The current pandemic has greatly disrupted the way YCTY shares yoga, who is participating, as well as how You Call This Yoga acquires funding for our free, accessible programs. Due to the cancellation of our community-building fundraisers, YogaFest NC and Bliss Body Yoga Anniversary, we are back to grass roots, relying on individuals and businesses to help us move forward.
Our professional yoga teachers offer safe classes that effectively foster comfort and relaxation for our physically and culturally diverse students of varying age, skill and capacity. You Call This Yoga thrives because of its teachers who are supportive of their students and one other. Our teachers are paid stipends that are made possible through our fundraising efforts.
Howie Shareff founded You Call This Yoga in 2007 as a business to share yoga that was adaptable for tired, worn baby boomers. As a 52-year-old practicing dentist and recreational athlete, he was managing his own severe arthritis for many years with gentle yoga. Howie also utilized yoga as part of his preparation and recovery from surgery.
In these episodes, your host Howie Shareff, founder and executive director of You Call This Yoga, joins informative and inspiring yogis to discuss the many yoga practices that are accessible to everyone regardless of physical ability.
In these episodes, your host Rayneen Thebeau, certified yoga teacher and devout student, takes the ancient practice of yoga from your mat to your every day life to uncover the inner peace, wisdom, and power that resides within us all.

I found out about Dr. Howie Shareff chair yoga on the web.
I would recommend this highly for people getting started on yoga.... It's great for a beginner or someone who is injured or stiff.
Dr. Howie Shareff chair routines help me considerably with some issues I had with stiff joints. I found I could do the exercises while I work. His routines are also excellent for general flexibilty and joint health improvement. The convenient way he has the exercise sessions arranged by length really helps fit the yoga into a busy schedule.
