Summit Animal Hospital was founded in 1989 by Margaret Cumming, DVM. It has operated continuously as a small animal practice in Northfield Center, Ohio since that time. In twenty-five years, Dr. Cumming grew the practice and provided her clients with state-of-the-art veterinary care and a personalized veterinary experience.

We had a terrible experience. Very rushed and pushing vaccines without explanation. We did receive an explanation as to why to get a rabies vaccine. "If your dog should bite someone, he will be seized, euthanized and we will have to cut off his head for testing". She is telling me this regarding an 11 week old, 4lb poochon puppy and saying these things in front of my daughter, who also overheard the staff making rude comments about us for asking questions. The treatment that we received was so upsetting. These people are very unkind and not trustworthy. I highly recommend taking your animals somewhere

After a bad experience with another vet, I was unsure what to do for my very anxious/reactive kitty. Doctor Kontur and her staff have taken such good care of her over the few years we've now been going there, and I feel so comfortable knowing they are in my corner. They have made vet visits so easy, and my cat is so much better at vet appointments now.

Very very friendly and very thorough. I had to take my cat in to get her shots and other treatments. Afterwards my cat was in a funk for a couple of days, which is to be expected. But SAH called me up multiple times to make sure that my cat was OK. I really appreciated that kind of service and kindness.
