Established in 1984, Abba optical has always catered to the refined taste of the Colonnade area clientele. Specializing in rare and unusual eyeglass frames Abba has become the trendsetter in luxury eyewear. Our recently remodeled dispensary contains some of the finest European eyewear available today with selections from Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy and Japan.

Frames made from Titanium, wood, Buffalo horn, bird feathers, leather, Bamboo and other lightweight comfortable materials. The on-site finishing laboratory has state of the art equipment including a new robotic lens edger that not only cuts your lenses the perfect size and shape but drills holes, bevels and facets.

Amazing service. April and Amanda helped me fixed my glasses and were super kind and helpful while I was there. Will definitely return to get new glasses since they had a nice size selection!

Ordered glasses on a Wednesday, was told they would be ready between the next Wednesday and Friday, I never received an update I didn't call for. The initial appointment was fast and easy, but having to call and chase down something like corrective glasses makes me feel like I should have gone somewhere else. I'll update with a new review on pickup experience but so far, started great and then full stop went down hill.

Had an excellent eye appointment with Dr. Ortiz. He's very friendly and approachable, and the entire staff is very personable. Would highly recommend to anyone.

While visiting San Antonio, one of the nose pads on my eyeglasses came off and was lost. This ABBA location fixed my glasses in under 5 minutes! Friendly, caring staff!

I ordered my contacts through my insurance. I had my wife pick them up when they finally arrived a month and a half later. She paid 260 for a one year supply, but they only gave her enough for 6 months. They didnt use my insurance when they charged her. Then come to find out they ran it through insurance later. So they now owe me $130. I continue to call and they keep telling me once they figure out what happened, they will call me back. They still owe me 2 boxes of contacts and $130. If i owed them, they'd be calling everyday. Incompetent employees.

The sad thing is I was real happy with their service and helping me on my first visit. I'm not sure where the ball was dropped but after being told my glasses would take 7-10 business days and it is now 23 days later I'm more than a little frustrated. My experience seems to be going the same as the first commentator with me being told you every 2 days that they are on the way and should arrive any moment now. Very disappointed! Bought a pair of wood and gold in Oct 2012, however, the nose piece stem broke on them back in Feb of 2013; Took them to back to Abba Optical and they said "No Problem, its still under warranty and it it be about 2 weeks." 2 weeks go by and they tell me 2 more weeks, they tell me "any day" I wind up waiting 2 more weeks before they tell me 2 more weeks ...its been 4 months now and I have yet to receive my glasses...
