Update: It's 2022, I haven't lived in PB in nearly a decade, and I'm still going to Park Optometry. They have a fantastic selection, street parking isn't too bad, and it's pretty easy to request an appointment online.

I hadn't been to the eye doctor in a long time and Park Optometry was definitely the right pick! Everything was VERY Covid safe which made me feel a lot better in the office. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and kind. I recommend this office for anyone who needs their eyes checked!

I have been coming to Dr. Park for about 5 years now. Dr. Park is very personable and the rest of the staff is helpful. Scheduling is super easy and I have never had to wait...they are super attentive and welcoming. Also super convenient location with parking in the back. Def recommend :-)

Had my very first eye doctor appointment with Dr. Park. A great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helped me every step of the way! In addition, the office took every COVID-19 cleanliness protocol and made me feel very comfortable!

Wonderful staff, excellent and fun eye exam process, incredible frame selection, and overall fantastic, seamless experience. I highly recommend them for your eye and optometry needs. And they are local in Pacific Beach, in an excellent location on Grand Avenue, and totally walkable.

The Doctors and staff (Kazi) at Park Optometry are a pleasure to work with. They are thorough and polite as well.as informative. I'm also quite impressed with the COVID-19 protocols they are following to ensure the health and safety of the staff as well.as the patients. I'm always impressed with the staff and the process. After waiting 3 months for the contact lenses that we ordered for my wife the lenses we received caused severe redness and itchiness. We have over four months left of supply. When asked if they would assist us in trying out new lenses to replace the remaining four months of supply we were told it would be another $150. We already spent our insurance deductible for the year with this company and they weren't willing to assist in making things right. We will be finding another Optometry office as Park also told us to do so if we weren't happy with their office.

I have been a client of Dr. Park for many years and have received excellent eye care. He is knowledgeable, personable and adheres to the highest professional standards. His staff consistently provide excellent services as well. Their procedures during Covid have been designed to provide maximum safety. I feel fortunate to be a client of Dr. Park.

I had a great experience at Park Optometry. It was my first time at the office. Everyone was very nice and genuinely cared. Often times, offices can pressure you into buying a more expensive item. I was told that there was no need to buy the more expensive item if I didn't want to, because given the condition of my eyes it wasn't necessary. I really appreciate the honesty. I will be returning. Dr Park is a wonderful and personable optometrist. I've had bad eyesight all of my life and have very high standards for quality eye care. Dr Park continues to exceed my expectations even after many years of being his patient. His office staff is also very friendly, professional and accomodating.

I have been going to this optometry office for over 10 years. Dr. Park is an incredible optometrist--very thorough, explains clearly and the best thing of all is that I now have 20/20 vision with glasses or contacts. He really knows what he is doing. His staff is very efficient too. I highly recommend this office.

Wouldn't even open the door. Like wow. I wanted to see what their selection of glasses were. Lady was beyond rude.

Dr Park has been taking care of me for almost10 yrs and I am so happy to have found an optometrist that exceeds my expectations. Dr. Park and his staff are professional, efficient, accommodating and always make visiting their office a pleasure. If you need an eye exam and contacts or glasses, I highly recommend this office. I have been wearing lenses for 20yrs and have seen my share of "eye doctors" in that time. Believe me...you will be in good hands with Dr. Park!

Despite having insurance and this place being in-network, I had to pay $110 for an eye exam. Yet in Virginia I had to only pay a co-pay for 8 years, with the same insurance. I wasn't notified of this prior to the appointment and exam. I was told it was just the co-pay. I am not sure what happened but I will not go back for this reason.

I came across this lovely establishment not knowing what to expect and I was beyond pleased with how it all turned out. The employees were wonderful and the doctor was fabulous as well and answered all my questions with no irritation whatsoever! Turns out my daughter and I both needed glasses and this helped us immensely! I cannot thank everybody enough and highly highly recommend them. The location is not the best and in kind of a random location but it was great because there was no wait and we got the attention we deserved! If you possibly need glasses go to these guys and know you will end

Life savers! I was having eye issues and needed to see a doctor quickly. I called around and everyone was booked up. I decided to look closer to my job and found Park Optometry. Called in and the fit me in as soon as they could. I appreciate that!
Parking is small in the front but looks like there is more parking out back.
The staff is very friendly and very professional. They have a waiting room in the front and will walk you back to another waiting room with a television as they get you ready for your appointment.

I went in for an eye exam as I knew I needed an updated set of glasses & I wanted to actually utilize my vision insurance. I found the closest place to my house.
The check-in process was easy. I saw the Doc promptly. It was an In & Out visit! At the end of my appointment, I welcomed the new glasses that I tried on because mine were (seriously!) out of date!! The lady that presented the frames wasn't aggressive in sales and let me try on many frames w/o trying to pressure me into getting lenses that were 'this and that', she basically listened to my wants & provided

I found Park Optometry from my insurance company and verified my insurance before they came. I am pretty disappointed in this business.


This office turned out to be a huge scam and very expensive. It's been weeks and I still don't have a prescription.

My insurance has a 10$ co payment which I sent in my summary before hand. The girl who checks you out is very forceful trying to get you to buy glasses and contacts. She "waived" my $20 deduction to $10 (it was always $10) and they charged me an extra $110 for an exam. That means this exam costs $240 which is extremely high

This was my second visit to Park Optometrist this week and their service was great both times. I was on time for my appointment and had to wait less than two minutes before they took care of me.
Everyone is very professional, while friendly and trying to make you comfortable.
They have a great selection of frames and prices are honest.

I went in bc I scratched my last week - you remember I gave them rave reviews.

To Recap: I had an extensive conversation with the front desk assistant about contacting my insurance for pre-authorization. I understood that the first visit wouldn't be covered bc obviously the Pre-auth takes anywhere from 5 -10 days. I was very specific in that i wanted them to go ahead and do the request bc I would have to come back for a followup the next week if this matter didn't clear.... low and behold today 7 days later as my eye is still hurting, sensitive to light, and red as a tomato i call

That dreaded time had come.. my vision was getting blurry...

I am 50/50 on them. 5 stars for great service.

I came here for the an eye exam. They definitely tried to over sell me my glasses but I am in sales and it didn't work on me. The quality of service here is second to none. The ladies that work the front desk answer all of your questions and are beyond nice and helpful. They have a great selection of glasses and with staff like that I will definitely recommend them.

Well I have glasses (ordered).
They were all very kind and helpful.
I forgot to ask was my vision was when I left.
My whole life it was 20/20. I guess they will tell me when I pick up my glasses.
I would recommend them.
They took my insurance, only offered additional services, didn't surprise me with extras.

Update- never talked with the optometrist after the screening. Never was told by the optometrist what is up with my eyes.
So, I spent 120 on glasses and still don't feel I have any improvement.

They get three stars for taking my insurance and the receptionist /sales

The moment I walked in the door I was blown away. The building isn't impressive from the outside but it's awesome inside. The place was huge, lots of exam rooms, nice decor, nice music, lots of frames to choose from and a very courteous and professional staff.

When they started my exam, they had tests that I've never seen anywhere else, in addition to the norm. Kaitlyn, a way cool individual, sat behind a revolving counter with different testing devices on it. At the push of a button, she brought each one to me and adjusted the height of my chair remotely. The doctor was very nice

I used to need cheaters, but was fit with multi-focal contacts and now never need them. Doctors know their stuff and very friendly staff. Worth driving from Escondido. Hard to find doctors who know how to fit multi-focal lenes.

Great business. I've never seen an office that has the perfect balance of organized without being intrusive. They will set you up a complimentary appointment when you're due and call to see if you would like to use it. No pressure. If you can't, you're able to can cancel or move it at your convenience. At that point they will email you the paperwork ahead of time to fill out in a comfortable setting, and bring to the office with you.

They are thorough and accurate and the best part is that you can see when you leave. I have weird vision and would be blind without corrective
