After relocating to San Diego, CA, Dr. Walton opened Heights Optometry in her own neighborhood of Normal Heights in the spring of 2015 and in summer of 2017 took over ownership of North Park Optometry. She is passionate about serving her community by delivering quality care, providing thorough eye examinations and educating her patients about the importance of routine eye health.
During this time, it is stressful for parents to know what's best for their student. It seems like a lot of screen time just to get their school work done. Then, they want to play games or watch videos too. Use this helpful guide to set up your student for success with "at home learning". We can't get rid of digital devices, but we can make a conscious effort to mitigate the negative effects they can have on our vision.
We accept most major vision and medical insurance plans for your convenience and savings. We are aware that understanding your benefit plan can be difficult. We are here to help with any questions on how your benefits and allowances work at our office. We also accept most major medical plans for the treatment and management of many medical related eye conditions such as dry eye, eye infections, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and more.
If you need emergency eye care or know someone who does, call now for immediate assistance. If you have chemicals in your eyes, flush your eyes with water for 15 minutes and don't cover the affected eye. If there is a foreign body in the eye, avoid rubbing and try to gently rinse away the debris. The best way to protect yourself from eye emergencies is to educate yourself about the risks and act accordingly.

The staff is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. They care deeply about the health of your vision and I regret that I only get to go back once a year. Dr. Walton is chill AF and is always more than happy to answer all my idiosyncratic questions. Had a great first appointment at Heights! Was recommended by a friend, and so happy I went with them. All the staff there are knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. Loved to see the female-led staff! Dr. Davis was thorough and was patient with me while I went over my financial options. Everything was clean and covid safe, I felt very comfortable at my appointment. Had my first appointment at this place and it was great! I needed a lot of help with both my lens and contact prescriptions and they were so patient and understanding. I saw Dr. Davis (she’s awesome) and worked with 2 other lovely ladies. It seems like it may be women-led as well which is AMAZING! They even helped me choose a frame that suited me best.

This place is amazing! Every person on staff was super sweet, very bubbly and welcoming personalities. The office is beautifully set up, clean and so different from the normal optometrist office! It definitely has a great vibe-but honestly I would still go here if they worked out of a hole in the wall because the service goes above and beyond expectations. So happy with my experience here!

Meredith is the most caring & honest optometrist ever. I first met her at another company when she took me on as her patient after lasik surgery in one eye.
