Services
The team at Buck Creek wakes up in the morning to make sure your pet receives the best care there is, every time. We are very excited to welcome Dr. Chelsea Garner to our awesome team of veterinarians! You may have already met or seen Dr. Chelsea around when she was previously interning at our office over the past couple of summers and we couldn't be happier to have her join us full time!
The site was originally a gas station and took a little remodeling to turn it into a functioning veterinary clinic. The practice was mixed, focusing primarily on food animal and small animal medicine and surgery. Though the practice started in difficult economic times it flourished through a commitment to quality veterinary medicine, a compassionate approach to handling animals, and a genuine concern for clients' needs as well.
Just like us, pets need dental care too. Each time your pet is in the office for their annual exam, the doctor gives them a tartar and gingivitis score. These numbers are used to determine if your pet may need to be scheduled for a teeth cleaning. Oral disease is the most frequently diagnosed health problem for pets.

Have always trusted Buck Creek! Would never take my cats anywhere else! They are very professional and friendly as soon as you walk into the door. They listen to your concerns and take the time to put you at ease instead of just rushing you out the door to care for another animal.

Been using Buck Creek Vet for years. Dr Chelsea was so kind when it was time for my beloved Elsa to cross the bridge. Love Dr Marty and how she gets down on the floor to communicate with her patients. Dr Doug has always dispensed sound advice even when it wasn't great news. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Will continue to use this practice with my Maggie.

During this visit my dog Asher was having signs of his eyes being swollen and red and not knowing why the Vet, Mekanna took Asher under her wings and fixed him right up. It has been a few days of taking eye drops and a pill every day and it’s like Asher was never having any problems at all. Thanks to all the staff for their understanding and work ethic to get my dog taken care of. I want to especially say thank you to Jenny at the front desk who always takes great care of my dog when something comes up and he needs to be seen.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Doug or his team! They were so helpful from the moment we started seeing them for our cats broken jaw when our previous primary Vet told us it wasn't broken. They walked us through so many visits and checkups and even helped us say goodbye to our Kody in a wonderful and pleasant manner.
We are currently going through another issue with our Pitbull, Lily, and two new and terrifying diseases that have manifested themselves in her golden years. They have been more than supportive, knowledgeable, and caring towards her (despite her trying to bite them on one

As always very pleased with service from Buck Creek Veterinary Clinic! I hope Dr. Schweirkerdt doesn’t retire for many more years! The staff is also wonderful to work with on everything. He has always taken very good care of our animals, even back in his days of large animal work. Now he is caring for my beagles Jack & Daniel and I am so pleased. Thank you Dr. Doug.

Dr. Schweikhardt is as caring as they come. My dog had an emergency and we had not found a new vet yet (our former retired), without an appointment or even coming there before, I came in at 8am and they saw me immediately. A couple weeks later we had to say goodbye to her as she wasn't able to recover; Dr. S was so compassionate during that difficult time and the weeks leading up to it (since I called nearly every day to update/ask questions). He did everything in his power to help.
