Absolutely a wonderful place to stay and relax if you enjoy aircraft, float and fixed wing right at your balcony with headsets provided to listen to the controllers whilst you have Tea Coffee or a Cold one and right alongside the International Airport operates 24 hrs with large freighters and a variety of passenger aircraft. The host Bill is very easy to correspond with, has his own aircraft on floats and being on the Lake front uninterrupted views. Also only a 5min walk to the Hotel for any meals or drinks you might wish for.

We have stayed at several places in Anchorage...this place is far better than any other lodging. There is spectacular views of lake hood and the owner, Bill Floyd is so nice and accommodating. This is the only place we will consider staying at in Anchorage. Rooms are clean, equipped with washer/dryer and kitchen access.

I took my 81year old mother on a "Alaska adventure" with a week long 1330 mile drive in the interior and then an Uncruise from Sitka. This was our first stop after a long 10 hour flight. My mother was so delighted and excited to see the seaplanes and all of the flowers and plants on the grounds. While I was packing to leave she picked raspberries. Bill the owner welcomed us personally, helped us with our luggage, gave us great tips on what to see in the area, and breakfast was provided! The beds were excellent the room was convenient and well appointed with a private roomy bath. When

First this is NOT a Bed & Breakfast -- B&Bs serve a hot breakfast, not a continental breakfast that's nothing more than fruit, bagels, and yogurt. Yes, there's breakfast but it's nothing special and it is not a sit-down hot breakfast.
The location is awful. Yes, it's close to the airport so if you need to be close to the airport that's a good thing I guess. But there's nothing other than a gas station and a couple of chain restaurants (McDonalds, etc.) within walking distance. And because it's right on Lake Hood the seaplanes are taking off and landing

My best friend and I have never stayed at a B&B before and this was a wonderful experience. Our host was amazingly nice and helpful since this was also our first time in Alaska. The place is adorable, and we even got to hang out with a moose in the backyard. The view is great and you'll get to watch planes take off from the lake. 100% recommend to others.

We just returned from another trip to Alaska, and once again stayed at Lake Hood Inn. It is very comfortable, and has a fantastic view of Lake Hood where you can watch seaplanes take off. It is very close to Anchorage Airport, and we like staying here in the beginning, and end of our trips north. Bill, the host, has great ideas for daily outings, and places to eat. I highly recommend Lake Hood Inn without any reservation! We will definitely go back!!

I can't believe no one has written a review on this wonderful place. We recently spent two nights at the Lake Hood Inn (B&B). Bill, the host, could not have been more accomodating and pleasant. We loved the location, being right on the lake. There are even earphones out on the deck so you can listen to the airport tower, if you are so inclined. The place is decorated in an aeronautical theme too! The bed was super comfortable. Rooms have private bath rooms and TV also! I would definitely stay here again.
