A weekly Healing Qigong class is taking place at the fountain at Manor Park in Larchmont, NY on Saturdays at 5pm. It focuses on healing and the 9 Phases form which has the power to remind us of of our connection to Mother Earth and the Heavens and all the Sacred Elements and Directions as well as how we can engage with the process of life and healing in a respectful, powerful manner.

This class is by donation. Call 914-420-2523 to register. Thank you to the twenty students that came to learn to teach the practice they love at our wonderful Yoga Teacher Training at Wainwright House in Rye, NY over the last two years. It was a fulfilliing experience for me to work with such wonderful students and teachers.

Susan J. Wright, LMT, LCSW-R, E-RYT created and directs the Birth of Venus Center for Yoga and Healing. She is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher, Gestalt Psychotherapist and Reflexologist.

She is also a licensed Massage Therapist and Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience in the body/mind/spirit healing professions and the author of the book, The Chakras in Shamanic Practice: Eight Stages of Healing and Transformation, published by Inner Traditions books.
Yoga is an ancient spiritual art and science that facillitates healing, growth and spiritual evolution. At Birth of Venus we teach a type of hatha yoga called Life Energy Yoga. This is a Kripalu based technique including elements of Kundalini yoga and Vinyasa. It emphasizes connecting with the Kundalini or divine feminine energy from mother earth as well as the Prana or divine masculine energy from the heavens.
Classes take place at 1600 Harrison Ave, Suite 203A in Mamaroneck (Rye Neck/Harrison border). If you have 2, 3 or 4 friends interested in a semi-private yoga class, please call 914-420-2523 and we can definitely add a new class to the pre-existing schedule. For a full-size yoga class (with 5 students) the fees are as follows: $70 for four classes in a month, due at the first class of the month in a particular time slot.
Mindful Yoga for Everyday Healing is a powerful synthesis of ancient stretching, balancing and healing techniques. It enhances the energy in each chakra, or center of spiritual power, balancing emotions, mind and soul while transforming the body. The techniques emphasize moving the body in a way that is highly respectful of challenged joints, muscles, organs and other body structures.
Please come to the Medicine Wheel Group held monthly on Saturdays at 1600 Harrison Ave. We will focus on Mother Earth and the Heavens, the four directions and the developmental aspects of ourselves (inner child, teen, adult, elder) and our guides. We will journey to receive healing and support for the aspects of ourselves that are in need.
