Who are we? We is me: a certified yoga instructor, workshop leader, and Reiki practitioner from New York. Before I studied yoga, I worked for decades as an editor in publishing and advertising. Words met body and mind, they discovered that they liked each other, and YogaBright is the result. The Yoga Classes page lists my current classes.

I teach primarily in lower Westchester, including Yonkers, Tuckahoe, Eastchester, Scarsdale, and Mount Vernon; private sessions are also available. Yoga class for seniors, or a challenging asana class, my goal is to help students learn to practice yoga efficiently, safely, and happily. Yoga offers a pathway to improved health, confidence, and well-being.

A recipe for success: Mixing mocktails helped this health-conscious yogi revitalize her energy while making a major life change by Reyna Gonzalez As a child, I loved watching old black-and-white movies, and one of my favorite stars was Shirley Temple. Like many others, I was drawn to her charismatic presence onscreen and wowed by her.
As a yoga enthusiast and instructor, I often tell students about the ways that yoga practice can help improve health and well-being. When practiced safely and with dedication, a yoga practice can be a powerful tool for both calming the mind and strengthening and healing the body. Through scientific study, health and medical experts across various disciplines have explored and demonstrated the benefits that yoga can offer.
When I began practicing yoga, I felt intimidated by the breathing instructions offered by my teacher. Not because her instructions weren't clear, but because I was worried that I wasn't breathing the "right" way. Then I learned that pranayama-an integral aspect of yoga practice-is not about "breathing right."
Now, more than five months after the statewide New York lockdown was initiated, here we stand. Slowly, painstakingly, we are reclaiming our lives. We work if we can, shop when we need to, and worship via Zoom. Students took winter, spring, and now summer classes on line. And the American heroes-our healthcare workers, essential workers, and first responders-continue to support us and save lives.

I really enjoyed Claire’s pregnancy yoga classes. Each week we focused on a different aspect, strengthening our bodies AND minds. We also practised breathing techniques and exercises for the different stages of labour. Claire is really friendly and will adapt your practise to suit your needs.

Claire always makes you laugh, that may seem strange but I think yoga shouldn't be about twisting yourself into the most difficult pose possible, it also needs to be fun.
As someone with a damaged spine, she has helped me stay mobile and avoid any more operations.
Go and give her a try, you will be surprised how much you can do.

I started to go to Yogabright when I was 8 months pregnant.I couldn't find a good pregnancy class in the area which was not ridiculously early on a Saturday, and was encouraged by my midwife who told me how good yoga was for preparing your for birth! I really enjoyed the lessons, and I do think in some part it did all help to prepare me for the birth of my daughter, who came much quicker than I ever anticipated!
I have continued after this with Baby Yoga classes- I have so enjoyed meeting new mums in the sessions. The classes are always fun, and a lovely way to bond with your baby. The teacher

I have been going for 6 months and am continuing this year - Claire is an excellent teacher with well-prepared and structured classes catering for all levels. There are guest teachers on occasion providing variety. You can expect individual attention and can progress at your own pace - classes are always challenging and fun, and personally I always feel great afterwards! Thoroughly recommend ... give it a try!
